Events that have had a life altering affect on you?

Nervous breakdown I suffered around July of last year.

Repression is horrible.

Near-fatal car accident at 14. I've been fearful when driving ever since.

when i was like 12 i was depressed for some unknown gay ass reason....i wasnt quite suicidal, cuz i figured if i killed myself id go to hell, but i wanted to be dead.....I had a dream and i met god, we were up on a mountain, and god said its ok if i killed myself i would still get to go to heaven, and that if i wanted to die i could do it right then by just walking off the cliff, and hed take care of me.......it was like reverse psychology, cuz after that i no longer wanted to be dead and things were ok after....i believe i actually met god and i believe that if id have walked off that cliff in my dream i would have died in my sleep from some health complication....

I was super, super depressed last year, and it lead me to make some huge changes in my life. Things are a lot better now.

I guess thats it.

Mine didn't even happen to me.

My youngest sister had a real bad case of pnenomnia (however you spell it) and I guess it started weakening her heart so she was in and out of the hospital for like half a year with different heart problems. It was weird too because I remember me and my other sister we use to talk about wanting to be there with her but at the same time not wanting to be there at all because in the back of your mind you're kind've expecting the worst. Last thing I wanted was to see her get worse and worse. She's a tough kid though and it was like none of what was going on phased her at all.

There's been other things too that have had an altering affect on me but they're really nothing when compared to all the good and bad things I've taken from that one experience./

Uhm like a year ago me and dude got into it.. Started out as a small disagreement but turned into a huge fight...We got alot off our chests and touched on alot of past subjects we had bitter feelings about but neither one of us knew how the other one felt and so on.. Neither one of us has been the same ever since but in a GOOD way... So that is definetly one event that had a life altering effect on me..

The other was my managers husband passing at the begininng of this year.. There was a series of small events that were smiliar leading up to his passing but generally his passing was the thing that really made me decide I needed to change my life and I did : )

When I was younger, I just remember this awkward situation. It was a cruel reminder of how cold the world could be. I just remember having nightamres about it for years. I don't even know how I got over it. How they would laugh at him as they taunted him:

"Trix are for kids"

All the poor rabbit wanted was some cereal

Alright so I was sitting in my cell in the county jail..I had 5 Gs bail on my head..my main charge was assault on an officer..I had just got off the phone with my family and they asked me if I knew I was gonna be locked up for a long time, like years..while sitting in my cell I saw a tag that some one wrote and it said 'Sometimes you see the light in the strangest of places'..i got bailed out and the assault on an officer charge was dropped and since then I have a new appreciation for my freedom and that writing that I saw has stuck with me

I have others that have to do with my family but that's a little bit too personal

haha for some reason i thought that sounded vaguely familiar and totally let it slide because it was such a small thought in my mind - forgot it was from fresh prince though, but i seem to be refreshed now.
