This no man's land belongs to no man,
the highway to hell is an open road, & i'm traveling with no van..
life's challenging, im scrambling & barely getting by'
im broke & single, i got smoke signals cuz I'm getting high.
gambling the chip on my shoulder, its a little spare
you may have the upper hand, but i got a middle finger in the air.
i've been with demons pre warned, they were forcing me to settle
I grabbed life by the horns, unfortunately it was the devil's.
But it isn't just me who lives as a bandit thats why i can't stand it
cause damn it we were handed and granted this planet
and what did we do? strip it & leave it stranded like janet
nothing is candid, everything is planned with vanquish
from apes we escaped then we landed & then we expanded
i don't need a book to understand this
in this no man's land i stand firm with my slang terms
and a girl who's like a bird in a cage with no personal space
i stand by her, touch her and kiss her in the face.
Together we know what love brings, we discuss things
and fly away broken hearted with dove wings.
I'll never be a ruler or leader on this earth but trust me
over my dead body will this earth ever be above me
hate me or love me, this is who i've become
& after the smoke is clear they'll be nothing you'll remember me from.
