ok folks, it's clear that the RSTL just aint what it used to be, all the vets have clearly gone, and now it's over run with the cliched description of *newbies*, although, some are really molding into the league their are others that are trying to re-structure the league to the point that it should be given the name RSNL...Rapmusics Story-telling Newcomer League...i personally am not feeling the vibe, there fore i went to the drawing books, but first i let Noib da Mutt, this week'[s center of contraversy express his thoughts on some issues, and give you all one last top 10, the leagues about to change, read about it here

HOLY FUCKIN NO-SHOWS

You guys should be ashamed... only 8 battles in the top 30 were votable, that shit is ridiculous guys... vets are signing out of the league for various speculated reasons, people claim they can't spare the hour or two it takes to write the verse, and the newbies on the scene won't step the fuck up to the plate and remain consistant... shit is honestly pathetic... this is YOUR LEAGUE GUYS, do you just want to let it die? It's going to have to take a little more committment from everybody... The MODs are becoming restless with it... Why the fuck should they run a league, and do all of this shit for you, just for you guys not to show up, or for you guys to not vote? No one is inspiring, and no one is showing that they appreciate all of this... don't post and say some "thanks for the mag" shit, and then not show up for your battle man... We want activity, and we want leadership, step up to the plate folks, you'll get what you give...

MORE VOTING PROBLEMS

An incident occurred recently in which me and my crew was involved in, in which we were accused of "gang voting"... Now, I'll be the first to tell you that this isn't true, but if certain precautions are taken in the league, this sort of thing won't even be speculated... There has been alot if discontentment with the voting going on in the league recently though, vets are leaving accusing other members of not knowing how to vote or whatnot, and the result is a lack of talent now in the league, which is why it's dyin' right now... To the crew voting situation, I say that crew members should not be allowed to vote on each other's battles unless it is a crew against crew situation, I don't know why this rule wasn't implimented a while ago considering that any time a crew member votes for another it's going to feel fishy... I am guilty of voting on a crew members battle, and so is anyone in WB as well as anyone in any other crew, so let's not point fingers... The point is, I propose that a rule be implimented preventing it, and ending alot of these type of predicaments... Now.. to the vets and their complaining... personally, I empathize alot with what they're saying, but they need to suck it up... If the less talented kats have no one to look at and learn from, the league is going to continue to be garbage... Vets, I propse you vote on some of the bottom jumkpile of battles and show these newer guys HOW to vote properly, if you're highly ranked, and respected, they're gonna follow the example set.. I honestly don't like too much bitching without action, and so I'm not going to point fingers, but some of you more experienced kats need to do something to make shit better... and if you don't care, drop out and allow someone in that does care about these kids...

10. Noib Da Mutt- um, don't really want to comment much on myself, this is the first time being top ten in rank so yay for me...

9. Khoi NguJin- dope writer, fairly consistent, and capable of beating anybody in the league... If he remains active, I can see him definately getting a good shot at the title, don't sleep on him...

8. Madpoet- cool peoples, almost had his shot at the title but lost to Harl, underestimated boy cuz' he knew him...lol... Um, Poet is definately one of the most talented int the league if you ask me, he's extremely consistant, and has a very creative edge to his story telling that makes it entertaining... As Yo Momma has dubbed him, the Roycce Da 5' 9" of the league

7. 5 Starre- dude has skills, but I'm waiting for him to bring that shit that makes me say DAMN... haven't seen it yet in the league, seen it in some open mics... Starre definately has the talent, but what will make or break him is the effort he puts into the verses he rights... and oh no.. I see him starting to care...

6. ErykahCaine- welcome back to this lovely, she's been hailed as RM's most dominant female writer... if her skills haven't fallen off, with the state of the talent in the league now, it could be easy pickin's for her...

5. LiquidLife- another vet, he's had fairly easy competition so far, but as he progresses, he'll face tougher and tougher challenges as he'll find that the top 5 is no joke...

4. Wise Punchlines- I remember dude from waaaaay back in the day... back in 2001 I think I remember this guy postin'... don't remember how long he's been gone, but if he's still writing at the level he was then, I'd say this league is his... that is... unless some of these other kids step up...

3. Anaphora- he's hung around the top ten for a while, waiting to see him bring it all, because I don't think he's really tried yet to tell the truth... His style is very smooth, and his story telling good, we'll see if tougher competition will bring the raw shit out of him...

2. Harlequin- He's been in the upper ranks for a while, never seeming to have what it takes to beat out the top top guys... he has a shot this week to do so, after suprising me with the win last week against Madpoet in a close one that was called because of a deducted vote..(I actually voted for Mad...lol), Harl definately is talented enough, but Vern is no joke, and he'll need to step it up a notch or 2 if he's really huingry...

2. Cereal Killer- um, not much to say here, his run was good while it lasted, but dude has signed out of the league over what I think is bullshit, and he's already called the no-show...

1. Vern Acular- Not much to say here either... he's proven to be the best all time RSTL, and only Jowelz can really challenge that because no one has won the title NEAR as many times nor accumulated an impressive record such as his, dude is ridiculously sick... Much respect to him when he does decide to retire from text battlin... I've been given word from him that's it's on to some big things in the work... So congrats dude... you have nothing to prove...

THE NEW RSTL

that's right guys and girls, The New RSTL, you're probably all asking yourself what is he talking about, well, the normal RSTL consists of about 40 members each week, a top 20 and in math terms divide that and you have a bottom 20, but what am i getting at?, well, it's basically a half and half thing, and i've come up with the idea of starting a football atmospheric league, not only 1 league, but 2 leagues, aleague for the vets and proven contenders, and a league for the up and comers and newbies, in this article, everything will be breif, all information will come after the 64 MAN TOURNEY, ok check it out...

imagine the NFL, you have 2 conferences with 8 divisions, 4 teams per division, and we would look at the NFL as being the Elite, the best of the best, well that's what the first league will consist of, in each division there will be 3 to 4 names, depending on who signs up, and they will go through an 8 week season with a play-off at the end, winning the championship gets you in the record books for champ, pretty cut and dry here, obviously this is the league for vets and proven contenders

but now everyone else is asking whats the other league, well in every sport, you basically go through college before you get to the big leagues so, this is where the College league comes into play, specifically designed for up and coming/newbies, there will be 2 divisions, division I and division II, the 2 divisions will go through 8 weeks of battling, with the top 4 teams from each division going into tourney play @ the end of there season, ie: 1 v 4 & 2 v 3, the winners from each division face in a bowl game, and the winner gets moved up to join the NFL

it's something different and with myself organizing it, other than people like Insane Villian, this will start and finish, the first season may have fuck ups, but that's what the first season is for to learn from your mistakes, each match-up will be just like RSTL style, there will be ranks, awards, and sport centers each week for each conference, more info will come after the tourney, that's when i schedule this to begin, each of the mods have agreed on the change and we will make it happen

well, everybody this is your last week in the league to show what you can do, the league may comeback if the football thing is unsuccessful, but first we have to look forward to the tournament, the rankings and records will be saved for the league just for book purposes just incase we decide not to do the football league, but for now it's going down, there is also a possibility that the league will go on for a few more weeks after the 2nd round of the tourney just to keep people active, so dont be discouraged if you're in the league, cause that possibility is at 90%, cause we still need activity, but we'll see, i hope you enjoyed the mag, and a special thanks to Noib for his help

Too bad it couldnt have been top 10 verses... I maybe would have made that, I think my verse was good but noone looked at it because it was a noshow. Speaking of noshows...I agree, people noshowing has almost destroyed this league... I have never done so myself, and I dont plan on it..

Anyways, I dont know about this new league thing.. it will just completely replace RSTL but it will keep the same name, basically.. I wish there was away to improve the league without completely drastically changing it...anyways I will participate and maybe it will actually work, who knows..

if someone in the top league starts sucking will they be put in a lower league in the 2nd season if there is one?

dont know how much i agree with the "football" thing, but the league right now isnt working, so im gonna have to agree with it for the mean time, might as well test it

nice articles noib, personally tho, i disagree with a rule about no crew voting, i give most the kids here the benefit of the doubt theyre honest, voting against they crew when their crew lost lets them be acknowledged as honorable to vets....so theres a lot more to gain with truthful voting than messin it all up on some conspiracy shit

everyone with doubts about the replacement of the league for the new one just needs to keep an open mind about it.. i think it could really be a good change for this league an somthing that people will be more encouraged to participate in without wanting to no show an what not..
