sup RSTL heads, as you may know, I along with the other RSTL mod's are in process of reviving the league, it's moving slow, but it's moving, we will need your help though, continue showing on time vote and stay in the league, and things will be back to normal in no time, if you have any doubts, well peep the rest of the mag, and see why i feel things will get better
:: YOUR MOMMA SPEAKS ::
As you may have noticed im the newest offical addition to the RSTL mod team.
Alot of people may have noticed the friction that was caused in me making
mod of this forum. Im not new to moding nor text as I have been involved in the
RSTL over the years under many pseudonyms and have modded varius forums in my time.
As a user i've had my fair share of disputes at this site with numerous menbers.
I adress this because since my arrival ive met some dissaproval over me modding
a forum with members i've 'beefed' with in the past. As a mod i will forever remain
impartial in these and all matters of this nature. For those that don't know me im
always honest and I speak what I feel and there is no risk of unfair play.
I'd like to thank the people who have helped out with my intergration into the RSTL;
6th Plague, Spy2, Ragu, Strike etc. My upmost thanks go to Vern as he has gone well
out of his way to help me ensure this league continues. He may not have mod balls
below his name but I would apreciate it if you were to treat him as one. Dispite the
problems this league isnt going any were. I've always loved this league and the last
thing thats going to happen under my control is the collapse of the league.
Me, Vern and Nebz are open to suggestions and feedback as it is you that makes
this league what it is.
:: THE FUTURE RSTL ::
ok here we go, where to start, first let me say thanks to everyone who does there part every week, now i must say the league activity is really bland right now, but, that's why im here, a lot of people left due to inactivity, terrible voting, no-shows, and of course the departure of tek and omen, so i dont blame you, there was times when i was readdy to throw in the towel as well, but if you see, good writers are still around, Jowelz, Dahloner, Idol Z and more...even though this week has less than 40 heads, there are some good match ups, but what i want to talk about here is the RSTL's future, what can i do to make it better, well what i am going to do, is add some variety to the league, and also a new set of rules which will be put up soon after the mag, but the first thing is something that was in affect but seemed to fade away and that's the week by week set up, you remember topic week and pic week, well it's back, it'll look somthing like this:
MONTHLY
week 1 - regular topics
week 2 - word/phrase topics
week 3 - regular topics
week 4 - pic topics
this will be the set up throughout the year
there will be 2 tournaments this year, one starting in June, the other around mid November, unlike in previous years, the League will only shut down for the first 2 weeks of the tourney, due to recent complaints, that way people that lose in the first 2 rounds can still get back in the league if they want to continue writing, whomever wins the title throughout the year have automatic spots in the tournies, along with the tournies there will be mid-year and end of the year awards, more info about that later, but my intention is to revive the league, thanks to yo momma for stepping up to the plate and giving his efforts, remember this people if it wasn't for him the league would have died, no mod, no threads right, so all i want from you is you participation, and for you to abide by the rules, but most of all have fun, ••••e up your writing skills, and do what you can do to get your bragging writes established

1- Vern Acular vs 2- Tha Talent
all i have to say is i got my work cut out for me, Talent has just that talent, and i cant take him easy, i do wanna congradulate myself for winning the title again, but if i dont come my best i may lose it this week, we'll see, good look to ya
3- Dahloner vs 4- Dmetrius
ok, ok, ok, dahloner is one of my personal favorites of all time in the league, and he has potential to win another title, but he has to first get by a man on a win streak, correct me if im wrong but Dmetrius is still undefeated carrying a loss due to no-show, both had strong showings last week, but who wants the title shot more, aight guys, put your dukes up
5- Magic Johnson vs 6- Eyrkah Cain
good ol parable smells the title, but so does Ms. Cain, two potential writers with two different styles, the only question here is who's gonna bring their best, iono, well just have to wait, all i can say is my money is on, lol, i cant tell you that, but i can tell you it'll be a good match
7- Jowelz vs 8- Muti
well, all i can say here is Jowelz is the man, no disrespect to Muti cause anything can happen, but when it comes down to skills, i would have to say Jowelz is the definite favorite, but anything can happen
9- Awedishin vs 10- Idol Z
although a nice showing last week Mac just couldn't hold on to the title, but staying in the league it shows he does want it back, but his opponent this week isn't a opponent you can just throw somthing up real quick for, idol z, aka olbuzzard, aka capo wants the belt again but so does everyone that doesn't have it, this will be a great match IMO possible battle of the week, gives me a woody to see those 2 names next to each other, not really just trying to make y'all feel good, anyway, bring it fellas

surface - kids got skills, he wrote a pretty good verse this week, i was impressed, his opponent no-showed, but if he sticks to it, i can see him making himself a little run
baron god - speculations with him being omen, sorry kids, he's not, but he does have skills, nice verse last week, anticipating this weeks, let's see waht you got dunny
eyedill - battle head coming into the RSTL with a 2-0 start, he's got talent, diversity is good to have on the net, and he's got it, look out for him

ok that concludes the mag, hope you liked it, and if anyone would like to contribute, just let me know in this thread, there's only 36 heads this week, if we can get atleast 24 to show i'll be happy, but top 10 should always be full anti no-showers, last weeks #1 contenders match didn't even take place due to no-shows, anyway this is Vern saying thanks and holla at your boy
