The New RSTL Rules and Regulations

VERSES DUE:Friday 11:59 pm EST. NO RECYCLING.

Verses posted after the deadline will not count! UNLESS you post your verse before mods close threads (for some odd reason), and your opponent agrees to let your verse stand.

VOTES DUE: Sunday 8 PM PST. 4 votes per participant, POST LINKS in your match. Each link not posted will result in a 1 vote deduction up to 4 votes obviously.

*Votes posted after deadline will not count in a tie or a close match, thus possibly resulting in a loss. GET YOUR VOTES IN.
You are also required to vote on the Championship, and Contendership match which will be included in your 4 votes.

If you are not in the league you cannot vote, unless you are an ex champion. Ex champions must vote on a minimum of 4 battles for their votes to count.

*Check-in (Posting in your match to show that you are aware the match exists) is encouraged but not required.

*Verses MUST incorporate at least one of the provided topics and must be at least 16 lines and must not exceed 64 lines.

*Anyone who does not post at least 4 lines, incorporating at least one of the provided topics, is considered a no-show.

*During check-in, you can ask your opponent to agree to a line limit (Minimum 16) and if your opponent agrees, Moderators will hold both participants to that limit.

*Posting between 4-15 lines is considered a no-show.

* EXSTENSTIONS will be granted on a case by case basis.

*If your opponent no shows you will still be held accountable for posting TWO VOTES.

*Votes must at least be 2 lines in length for each verse.

NO SHOWS WILL COUNT AS A LOSS.

Lastly: Moderators have FINAL say over all situations that arise.

Amendments

1. Mods can vote.

2. You're opponent automatically gets the same extension deadline.

3. You cannot win a championship by no show. You will become the number #1 seed, but you must win by vote to be a champion. This does not apply for defenses.

Joseph sat indolently with dreary tunes in his ear
Picturing her pretty face as he drew from his beer
Beauty to the nth degree with hair the color of fall
Landing gently on her shoulders to uncover her bra
Smothered in awe as he stood in deep admiration
Enthralled by her aura, producing steep adorations
A creep's aberration peaked from under the shade
Rediscovering every facet of eyes the color of jade
A coveted craze covered in rays from the moon
Attentively loving her ways as he waves to the tune
Her grace is consumed by the hint of the song
Humming as he begins to sever skin from her bones
Now the canvas was set; the color was pale white
Braiding hair from her head to get every detail right
Noticing the human remains in his cave of clutter
Thinking if this brush gave then he’d braid another
Such a sleek and slender setting, her face was a joy
Dabbing brushes on her wounds; so evasive and coy
Surveying his palette, then selecting a hue of red
Cos few would spread to capture the view of dread
As he chooses reds to capture the tainted
Cadaver that lay naked and gets back to the painting
Gently stroking his wrist while meshing the two
Colors to show the essence of the flesh that he drew
He meticulously captured every hair on her skin
Steady wobbling in that stool of a chair he was in
His sweater was thin and the cave was so cold
But Joseph is tranquil with each face that he molds
Each brush recreating the soul of a human model
Trying to suppress his pain as he threw the bottle
Watching the faces that loomed through the shack
His agony overshadowed by the tunes in the back
His doom was exact due to the fact of the matter
As he slowly examined the act of the splattered
Alcohol on the canvas, but now his tragedy's real
When next he noticed that the palette had spilled
Now hues of red covered the wool in his clothes
Wiping his face from anger as he stood in the cold
Struggling to accept that the piece was ruined
His body shivered, but pores were secreting fluids
So he made quick work of the rest as he muttered
And stuffed her flesh and hung her next to the others
Then climbed the stairs and steadied his doom
Fixed the lunches and got his kids ready for school
A normal life, but every night it would call
"The cave," he thought
While hanging the picture of his wife on the wall
Walking past the painted pictures of past primes
To the screen door to see his kids for the last time
After waving them off he lit a cigar and inhaled
Glancing at the house which was a part of his hell
That awful ruby red is what he named as the source
Sobbing quietly as he blew his brains on the porch
