Verses posted after the deadline will not count!

VOTES DUE Tuesday: 12:00am EST PACIFIC 3:00am (also meaning early early morning Tuesday for people in the US)
Votes posted after the deadline will not count!
[list][*]Check-in (Posting in your match to show that you are aware the match exists) is encouraged but not required.
[*]Verses must incorporate at least one of the provided topics and must be at least 16 lines and must not exceed 64 lines.
[*]Anyone who does not post at least 4 rap lines, incorporating at least one of the provided topics, is considered a no-show.
[*]During check-in, you can ask your opponent to agree to a line limit (Minimum 16) and if your opponent agrees, Moderators will hold both participants to that limit.
[*]Posting between 4-15 lines is considered a “show” but will not result in a match. If you post 4-15 lines, and your opponent posts between 16-64, you will lose the match but you will remain in the league. If you post 4-15 lines, and your opponent does not show, you will “Win by no-show”.[/list]

If you have a personal investment in wanting someone to lose, whether because that member voted against you once, or you just don’t like that person, whatever the reason, do not vote in the match. If have a personal investment in wanting someone to win, whether because they’re crew member, or because you want to face that person in the next week’s brackets, whatever the reason, do not vote in the match.
[*]”Bias” must be confirmed by a Moderator.
[*]If there is a match which you will not be able to vote on, due to “Bias” of any type, state so within your match prior to Verses Due Deadline. If this reduces the number of matches available for you to vote on to the point where you are unable to vote on at least 4 matches, the point scale will be adjusted according to how many matches you do vote on.
[*]3-ways are inevitable. In order to provide a tie-breaker in a 3-way, you are now required to indicate in what order the contestants finished (1st, 2nd, 3rd).

Before Death

My destiny is open ended
and I'm close to the begining of a war that I'm already supposedly winning.
The hope left in me is only intended to feed the spin
and make me believe that fighting will keep me bleeding from within.
But its not the feelings in my skin that I'm worried about
its the preachers who sin but tell a different story out loud.
I'm dealing with thieves who are stealing my beliefs
and eating my heart out from the heel of their sleeves
where their magic tricks are perceived as a treat
in order to deceive the streets and keep the elite from feeling the heat.
The Comrade Wolf doesn't just appeal to the weak.
Christ is in his reach and that's why I kneel to the beast.
At least for now.
It won't be long before Jesus starts healing my grief.
But right now,
it's either be eaten or feast. And I don't mean figure of speech.
The world is washing up and we won't see how the picture will bleach.
Only the scriptures can teach.
And I'm committed to spreading the word, making sure the lessons get heard
until everybody submits to Christ and lets Armageddon occur.
The notion that were in slow-motion is absurd.
Time's speeding up and were being taken for a ride
that will only end once we break from the tide.
Complacent minds are displaced and engaged in a great divide.
This Age calls on men to awake and take their lives,
not to stay afraid and make mistakes then wait for fate to decide.
It's five minutes till midnight. It's too late to die.
The Comrade Wolves are agents of mistaken wars
who are really pagans at core
but pretend to be angels performing latent chores.
And some of us have forsaken the future for our own sake
in the process we've bended the rules that we know won't break.

Afterlife

The blue flames of my anger exposed my true aims
and revealed who I became.
Lies only fueled my shame.
I took the fools' errand and had a dual with my previous claims
of what life was.
I was stoned-face, a cold ace,
staying cool while playing with the rules in the devious games.
I've grown afraid at my own slow pace
with an imagination that has locked doors, and closed drapes.
I'm a caterpillar on the road to redemption
all cause my religion was an old man's perception.
Those who've memories are fresh in mind are less inclined to press rewind.
Death is blind, and the unseen were left behind.
The fanatics avoid filling a void,
they build to destroy with their favorite weapons
I guess it justs second nature for men to put nature second.
All the ghosts who were among us were singing hymns
on sinking ships,
and angels in hell on earth were broken winging it.
But I sit now in heaven, rightfully departed
it was easy to carry myself cause I was light hearted.
