Vet should or shouldn't be ranked above losers

Well, IV has brought it to my attention that it's unfair for a "vet" with a previous record of serving in the RSTL being ranked so low when they sign in. I explained that I was doing this because our league was plauged with Vets no showing so it made no sense to rank them high just for them not to show in matches..... This seems to have changed slightly at least with some "vets" showing so I'm open minded.

The question is, should Vets be ranked higher than the losers of that week just from signing in with their previous records?

They still won't advance past the winners of that week, but I don't have a problem with putting them ahead of the losers.

It's up to yall..... This will stay open for the week and the rule will be modified is need be next week.

most vets are rusty...put em at the bottom and let them prove their vet status by taking what...an extra week to climb...it's not like there are a lot of members in the league and it's like you can't get to the champ match in 4 weeks...

I say keep it the way it is...

The rule that should be looked at though is crew voting...after what happened in the contender match.

as far as this goes... send em to the bottom, and make them get back to the top...

I'd actually prefer to meet some competition.

I'm not afraid to take an L, writing is my passion, not winning in this league...

so if I write an ill piece and lose to Corey or somebody, oh well, I still wrote an ill piece. Same goes to facing a square like Got Life.... whether I win or lose, I'm striving to write dope shit, because I love ta..buauah

Besides, when I do lose... I'll back up front contending again.

what is the point of saving a record and so forth

when we have to start at the bottom to begin with...

u might as well just throw the records out the window then...

cuz there is no point to save them if u start on the bottom to begin with

and it is unfair to kids like "blackwell" to face top members every week...

because they are signing in and being placed on the bottom...

Its not about being fair

Its about keepin' it real

For example...

Baron signed out 1 week...

comes back and is placed on the bottom...

after being champion and holding it for awhile

wouldnt it be "FAIR" to let him sign back in into at least the top 20...

so a "NEWBIE" doesnt have to face a champion right when he signs in...???

doing this....

Keeps the Newbies facing newbies to begin with so they sont have to face the bias of facing a baron the first week in...

cuz u all know...

for a new guy to beat a top RSTL HEAD

they dont only have to beat them...

they have to embarass them...

close matchups will most likely go to the guy with the more popular name...

Im just keeping it real...

Thats why we may have lost a goods competitor in blackwell

and any other newb who comes in...

The Top 20 thing is a good idea, if we can get a solid top 20 going in the league... too many sign outs and no shows right now.

Seriously...this doesn't seem like a relevant issue considering the fact that people go from 20 to 8 in a week...taking into account about 6 no-shows a week...4 people who don't vote a week...you move up the ranks of 20 head so quick it doesn't matter.

This league will be up to 50 members by the end of the year...

Especially with the likes of RC signing in along with Headless

So when this league gets up to 40 members...

I agree with IV that having a good record should stand for something and I would have no problem reinstating ranks as they were previously done, but that would depend on the accountability of the 'Vet' because in the past months, Vets count for a large number of no shows and it's just useless to rank them high and then have them no show and aid someone even higher up the ranks for it.

Vigil, no... there is no suspension policy unless you no show 3x in a row. oops, my bad. I'm fixing it

Ok check it out.

When I modded, and ever since the very beginning of the league, this has been an issue of sorts. This is how I dealt with it. I think it's the most reasonable way to deal with it, probably because it's the way I chose to do it lol.
