Now wtf is up with all this Keg Party shit. I wanna come in and raid that mothafucka for all the titles they've gotten over the past few months. Shit, since I've become mod, they've gotten 2 titles with Sac, and a title with baron, Thereturn and Shrugs before they recruited him. Cool.... well, they keep racing to the top and fighting each other in champ matches. Beefin in da frat house, alcoholic mothafuckas gettin liquified and throwing punches. Where's the love and peace at in dis bitch? Oh well, Sac knocks out another team mate and leaves his toe nail lodged in his throat from diggin so deep in his ass with it. Nice ass match actually, I thought it could of gone either way personally, but that's not what yall thought.

We've got some GRUDGE MATCHES jumping off finally and I'm thinking this will be interesting. Urizen and Lifeless are gonna war it out since they've been dissin back and forth in the other threads.... They're about on the same level as far as verse development goes so it's not an easy one to call. Gotlife may seem to have a slight advantage, but I've seen Urizen get much better..... a lil inconsistent though. Me and Pent..... hahahahaha, chea ninja, I'm comin fa ya head and I'm not stoppin til it's barely hangin onto strips of your neck's flesh...... and of course, SMO vS. Keg Party.... that's gonna be some nice shit. We're all working on it still, but it'll go up soon too. I'd say let's get ready to rumble if it wasn't so fuckin played.

It's getting close to the end of the year so that means another anual awards shit for nominations is coming up. Tali took care of this last year.... I hope he'll do it again this year, please Mr Rodriguez? If he's not though, I'll take care of it. Richard Corey held the most wins last year including best writer of the league that year, eeehhh... nah, he's dope, we all know that, but who's gonna get that shit this year? Nominations should be going up soon... maybe this or next week. Categories will include, but not limited to best writer, funniest writer, best flower, people's champ - person who is the best writer with no title, and shit like that. So start thinking of who you think is the worthiest or the worthy to hold these awards for 2006 as we climb into the next year.

RSTL Top 10 Countdown!!!!

Yooooooooo..... Another week is in the books and The champ defends his title successfully against his Kegger teammate and this week, for the first time in a few weeks... The Keg Party Defends the TITLE against someone not in their crew.... EXCELLENT title match btw... Street Poet really brought the heat and gave our new COCKY champ a run for his money... GotLife signed out with a defeat, and my crew mate Infininite Truth NO SHOWED.... (SLAP!) Yeah... That slap was for u truth... fortunately for the Elite I Vizzle won, and keeps the crews name in the top 10 at least for another week... We have alot to discuss this week, as alot of new faces storm into the countdown, and some old faces return and so forth... So without further delay... It's the Top 20 countdown... In all of its glory...

9. Archive 1-1 vs. 10. Kryptical 5-1

Archive... a SMO member... puts his crew back into the spotlight by doing absolutely nothing... He shows up against two chumps who both dont show and he is now in a place where he can dictate his future... I dont know much about archive... I read his piece last week and he appears talented but i have no clue where his strengths and weaknesses lie... and this week he has to face a man that could very well test if he should be at this plateu in the rstl, or if he is just a pretender...

Last week i PREDICTED for Kryptical to lose and he suprised me and etched out a tie with the great RIBOCOP but he didnt vote and stayed back in the rankings... But this kid gave it his all and smasked on the critics (Me) and proved that he does deserve to be up here... But now, he has to face a DiC affiliate and he not only has to prove that he can win the big matches but also has to prove he can VOTE... There isnt much hype surrounding this matchup, I fear, BUT the winner of this one will be on the breath of the countdown next week and continue to make a name for themselves as they climb that RSTL ladder

7. ILLweeMaN 32-9 vs. 8. Xiahou Dun 1-0

Before i critique this matchup, i have something to say... U should NOT be allowed to change your verse after your opponent drops, and then proceed to use their topic to smash them... Xiahou did this last week taking out the Rocket in a move that i see as cheap... But my fellow mods said he didnt do anything wrong... So when u face this guy just remember to drop your illest on him to avoid this from happening... i plan to have talks with the DiC to see about this rule being changed cuz i see it as bullshit... but aside from this... he dropped a pretty good verse and this week he faces an RSTL veteran in his second match...

This match gives me great pleasure... Because it really makes me think about my verse this week and really inspires to drop knowing that i can face one of these two guys next week... The wee Man i have defeated before in a matchup in the RSTL championship so i KNOW there is nothing better for him than to beat ME in a matchup for revenge... Xiahou really pissed me off over that spectacle last week (but im over it) but there would be nothing better for than to give him his first loss...

As for who I think is gonna win this one, its a tossup cuz i dont know if WeeZy is back to full potential and the X-Man looks like he held back last week so i dont know if he has more things to show us... This is probably the most interesting matchup in the top 10 besides the Contender Match... Good luck to both... and to whever wins... Be prepared for a WAR next week... If i SHOW and WIN...

5. Dreamcaster 2-0 vs. Insanevillian 41-9

In this battle we place the unknown... a possible dope alias... against IV a well known household name... in the RSTL world... Dreamcaster hasnt had to beat ANYBODY but from what i read from him in his no show verse against his first opponent... he has a good poetical feel and he is pretty dope with it...

For me.. I get NERVOUS facing the unknown because i dont know if i should come my DOPEST and i DONT KNOW what is ENOUGH for that emcee to seal the win... So that means IV will be coming FULL FORCE this week to try to take this kid out cuz i DONT KNOW what this guy is bringing to the table... for all i know it could be a fuckin' DiC ot TaLi alias and im gonna be thrown into the fight of my life...

So this matchup has potential for fireworks... and for my doubters out there... If Dreamcaster IS a dope alias... This could be a SUPRISE and it could go down to the wire... Will IV overcome the unknown or will this Dreamcaster setback IV on his title march? we will see...

RSTL Contendership Match!!!!

3. TheReturn 13-3 vs. 4. Ribonuclease 10-5

WOW... Now this is the matchup of thew WEEK overshadowing the championship match because the winner of this fuckin war will definately give the champ a run for his money.... RIBO had a suprising run for his money last week when Kryptical came close to delivering the knockout punch in a hard fought tie and TheReturn sent GotLife out of the RSTL with an asswhuppin deserving of praise...

These two guys met up a couple of weeks ago and the Return got the upper hand, but the Return wasn't expecting to face someone so good this early... Now the RIBOCOP wants revenge and TheReturn has to beat RIBO again but the stakes are now much greater... The winner will probably move onto the Champ match to face Sacrifice in probably the best Championship matchup we have seen since Sac beat Baron... Speaking of Baron he is coming back this week...

The Return has been the HOTTEST emcee to hit the stage for awhile and the KID has been writing some spectacular shit... He even has the IV looking in his direction... and RIBO has alos been a hardnosed warrior the last few weeks... claiming victories like muhammed ali... This is this weeks Thrilla in Manilla... Who has what it takes to rise from the ashes to victory?...

This is a classic Buster douglas vs. Mike Tyson like matchup... Sac has crushed the opposition taking out the best heads in the last two months in succession... He has beaten Baron, Notik, Street Poet, and his road to the top wasn't easy but he beat them all.... Now he faces Urizen... A guy has lucked into the position of being here...

Urizen has to be the luckiest man on the face of RM... He hasnt had to outright win one match in the last three weeks and he gets a title shot... He TIED Lola Cruz... Beat NOTIK by NS, beat Lola by NS in a fuckin disgraceful Contender ship match... and now here he is... The guy who Lucked his way to a title shot... He was pretty upset that Lola didnt show last week, cuz he even thinks he didnt earn his way here... But NOW THAT YOUR HERE... u ••••• not dissapoint... Everyone in the RSTL will be looking at this matchup... Popele that ARENT in the RSTL are gonna come peep this matchup... So u ••••• give Sac all u got... 15. Blackwell 0-3 vs. 16. IV 40-9
Blackwell Vs. Insanevillian

This was a nice match that most would of probably thought would easily swing for IV, but Blackwell had a pretty nice verse with some solid flow so that record doesn't speak so loudly cuz his skills are doin some damage.

IV came in with a boom, literally as his trademark move and began his segment on how he's an insane villian. I thought this might be the topic he'd choose this week, but what he'd do with it was what I was waiting to see. To my surprise, he didn't do a graphically violent theme with great imagery as I've read from in the past....hhhmmm, don't know why he didn't do that. (Damn villian) He broke this up into 3 verses with a nice chorus as if he plans on recording it. Cool song, the flow was pretty on point and the narration was natural. Liked the character development that was displayed, and the topical approach, but it didn't really get insane and I didn't peep any criminal acts either of a villian. Wassup man? What happened to the insano shit? It was a nice verse though regardless. The middle verse was my favorite, had some nice lines in there that I liked.

Blackwell had a grippin verse that started nicely with some flow to keep me more into it... with some inners and shit. Anyway tho, the content was quick in the development and it made me wonder why is it going so fast.... but that pulled me in deeper too, then he came in with the political satire shit that was a dope way to do it. Gotta give some props for that. The dialogues could of been portrayed a lil better I thought, but I really liked how this was braught to life... the content kind of crept on me and I didn't see it coming til.... BLAM, it hit me. I think he took IVs BOOM and made another sound effect to attack back. I like it when mothafuckas up the bar and give that effort for the win.... Close, not close enough according to voters at least.....hhhmmm... not sure if agree tho, but I'm liking the verse man. I was impressed and you uped your game all around from rhymes, narration, content and development.

7. Ribonuclease 9-5 vs. 8. Krypyical 4-1
Kryptical Vs. Ribonucleus

Kryptical showed some nice skills with a creative scheme that I really liked. His narration was a lil strange in some parts, but mostly had some sick ass flow with a cool scheme for his character. See, I like it when people use the creative topics I put out there for yall..... thas wtf I'm talking bout. Kryp used the mechanical baby in the womb pic and developed a nice ass verse from it with the growth of an advanced perception that technology may give mothafuckas....some day. Some dope sci fi schematics were used to fuel the shit and I liked how he did this. Props..... haven't read much from him, but I this was gravy.

Ribonucleus had a superb display with a natural narration to add in his piece that was just purely 'the shit'...... it still stinks even after the thread's closed. The flow was smooth and still packed with rhymes that were dope. One thing, not as creative as Kryptical, but maybe more entertaining to read from the way it was told? That's what the voters seem to think overall. I usually go for the more creative too, but this was close... and ribo had that ill shit like I said....and just snatches attention away from great verses.

Ribo's been climbing the ladder of the league once again with impressive verses that are being noticed of course and soon will be fuly tested by one of those Keg Party fools. TheReturn is his only lost after his comeback and it looks like he'll face him again pretty soon. Haha, chea..... I love a good fight. Blow fa blow, I'm betting verse of the week whenever it happens again. Takin 3 to 1 odds

Kryptical is getting some proper shine now and with an impressive verse to go against a writer like Ribo is definately worthy of the mention. His scientific portrayal didn't work out for a win, but it did show some great rhymes, nice ideas and good naration around a great topic. I feel bad for whoever is facing him next cuz he's gotta be feelin like kickin some (_!_) now. Be afaid ninjas or just be preapred to catch head shots. Bring da pain Kryptical

Sacrifice Vs. Street Poet

Sacrifice starts this off with a great narration to bring shit to life. An emotional play by play is nicely diagramed in the words. The flow, damn.... at some points, I was impressed with some of the lines and even more so as to how it fit into the sequence of topics..... then there's the topics, 4 different topics to breakdown each moment of story as it developed. I thought there could of been more chcarcter development on the woman, but that didn't stop me from feelin the fuck outta this piece. A topical kinda narration, but in story form as the main character goes through losing pieces of his with the focus on losing his lover.

I expected Sac to have some grippin shit to give this week and was well aware of his skill level, but I was still surprised as to how much I liked the way this was done. Climbing high in the ranks with only 1 loss when he didn't try that week, to winning over Baron and getting his 2nd title without anyone standing in his way, the ninja is nice wid it obviously. He's gettin streaky with the wins now...... who will take the V from em?

Street Poet had some nice development of his character as he went through some gambling addictions and alcoholism. I liked the outline of this and the guy was so pathetic that it kinda made you feel for him being such a loser. Flow was pretty strong and I liked some of the wording used. The rapid downfall of everything was the key element and to detail the interesting parts of his life to make this nice. That was done pretty nicely with him losing most of his money and then just deciding, he would accept being a loser and stop trying to win..... I loved the way that went full circle with the ethan being a fuck up in life, but as he knows he's going to be killed by loan sharks, he lives better as a martyr and becomes happier in death. A nice twist on the ending that really braught everything together.

I knew Street Poet was gonna give some nice shit for this week and although I expected something a lil more creative, I liked what he did with this shit and it read smoothly. Another worthy Champ match provided by giving some nice rhymes, good narration and nicely developing scheme from start to finish made this a great match up to Sac.

Keg Party is throwing down more than beer in the last couple of weeks as Sac runs through his team mates like the drunken sorority bitch they pass around the house during that nasty (_!_) Kegger they throw weekly.

Top Verses this week!
OH GOD, this week was dope

First off, in the five slot, is Ribonuclease. He brought you a dope story that about how karma is a bitch. I really liked the twist because nstead of having karma shit on him, it didnt...and that made his main character feel worse. It was about a dude with a gambeling problem/Debt to the mob who as expecting a son. Last week, or the week before (marijuana effects the memory) his rhyme scheme was dope as all hell, but this week it was a lot softer, i hink he underestimated Krypy or didnt have time or something because I know he could pack more of a flow. At the same time the rhymes were pretty crisp and ot his point across fairly well..I think the thing that really got him is that there wasnt enough action for a verse about karma, it was more aimed at poetic justice and I think that slowed the impact of it, for me at least. Still a dope verse but I've seen doper from him...Glad to see you sign back in man

Speaking of signing back in, an ooooold dude thats been telling me he quit writing...wrote, lmao, in the number 4 slot we see old assss
iLLweeMan taking a swing at IV's 50 dollar challenge..Can he do it? Well if he knocks the rust off and keeps showing up, its REALLY likely. Now when I say 'knocks the rust off' dont get it twisted, he's still making top verses for a reason. He brought a pretty crisp rhyme scheme and the story developed dopely, one of those reverse-timeline deals where he tells you where a sadist got his sadism from. The imagery and crispness of details is really what brought this story out for me. I feel the way he hit the subject was pretty dope, not a straight forward approach but at the same time it made the verse less predictable. I got very drawn in reading this so keep doing your thing man

Counting down, the 3rd best verse, in my opion, hailed from krypyical...wait isnt that a strain of weed in florida? i mean kryptical (i thought the typo was funny). first of all I'd like to give him props for that opener stanza, it was off the meatrack and in the barbeque pit. There was a nice fluidity to his verse that was partially caused by his scheme where it made everything feel very natural in its presentation but at the same time kept his opinions fresh. The rhyming was fresh and fluid for the most part so that was a plus. The creativity involved in writing this verse was also somewhat above avg even though the idea has been done I liked his approach more than i've seen done before. It was about the idea of cyborgs, to be simple about it. but it was more like a man VS machine idealogoy thing...it was dope, I feel bad for not reading more of his verses after peeping this

You know who else is fucking dope? SacriFICE! I just peepd this dudes 5 verse sampler and that second verse is fucking bonanas, thats bonker + bananas
for you none-conjunctionally inclined people..But I guess i'm not here to give him props for that I'm here to showcase to you the wonderful qualities of his championship verse this week. He brought the flow as usual, and it was cool because the flow went with the tone of the stanza, and the metaphor evolved so
nicely. The metaphors were swords to choices in a relationship..And most of the time he chose not to strike with his sword (dont wanna ruin the verse for u people who havent read it though you all shouldve cuz its a champ match) but the one time he did he killed more than his prey...sotospeak...Very dope on the metaphorical tip, very hard flow that made everything come together nicely and a nice span of topics all tied together neatly, and a closer that spells it out for you slow pokes...THE ONLY REASON I'm not dropping this in the #1 slot is that this verse was PERSONAL, and those are the easiest to write. Though he took a metaphorical approach that gives him creativity points it was still something easier done and thought of than metaphoring for original concepts. But nonetheless it was still a fresh ass verse

So if not the current champ than who to be #1?the Contender? Nay I say, NAY...but another crew member no less (why are we so dope?)

TheReturn...Yeah, in my opinion he rocked every verse this week. His take on the topic was fucking dope...Shadow of a thought..a Dream
and how he portrayed it was like an inner-metaphor on the topic, and the beginning and closing statements tied the whole idea together so fucking nice, I havent enjoyed a verse like this one in weeks upon weeks, I'm dead serious. The views he expressed were real as fuck, and worded so nicely. it read so quickly and it rode out seamlessly. I really like how he exposed mannerisms alot of people have; it just hit home with me, maybe you feel differently

but overall I could only find one flaw in the verse, and its an oxymoron, which is debatable to begin with. a must peep verse. No denying he's rising back in the ranks.....Much Props from me for you drunk sir

Archive had a verse dope flip on the Rabbit hole topic that was dope enough to honorably mention, though he didnt make my countdown because some of his writing went over my head whether in metaphor or flow but the overall idea he presented was dope as hell so watch out for him....

The Voting Epidemic

I see a couple of things happening in the league that seems to the shit to do. Of course this place survives of good voting to push writers up the ranks, but when matches are decided early and there's an obvious victor, the losers of those matches aren't voting. I guess it seems like a waste to vote when you know you can't win, but we need and encourage everyone to vote if you've dropped a verse. Ranks should be based on voting as well as writing so this is what I impose..... you have to vote. Lol, for real though. If you don't vote, you will be pushed at to the bottom of the ranks with the sign ins below those who have lost and voted even if you were ranked higher than them.

It's not fair to have you not giving an effort because you lost. That's wack and can't be rewarded. We need those votes ninjas.... also I see that some people that are winning from no shows, neglecting to vote sometimes, which is just odd. Maybe they don't wanna climb ranks cuz they won't and will remain in a similiar rank from the previous week. This will cost at least 4-6 places lower in rankings so even though the win is gained, those people won't get much higher and possibly even drop in the ranks with a loss in the next week's matches.
Not voting will cause lower ranked members to climb really high without facing the challengers that they should have. With a nice league of good writers, those votes push our system to work properly and keep shit together. Ranks are suffering a bit because of this and it needs to change. Voting is part of your responsibility in here, the writing is only half of it.
