Rematch of Baron Vs. Fold?

As I'm sure most of you are aware of, last week's champ match was interupted by a poor choice made by the X RSTL mod Pent up. After editing a statement of his verse that showed his outline, it was braght to my attention by other RSTL members that Fold deserves a rematch for an obvious violation of mod powers.

Fold signed out, but when and if he returns, is this a match you wanna see take place?

Oh and to add reasoning to this...Fold should have never put that explanation...I think there should be a rule against adding homocentric shit like that because if your piece can't be understood through your bars...you did a bad job as the writer...

Hence...I don't feel that pent editting that really did anything malicious to the battle...so yea...

I understand, but disagree. There's no rule of putting anything in your piece that you want to so editing a verse is just that. It would be the same as censoring what you're allowed to write on and that would be purely stupid.

The league is made to allow the freedoms of expressing whatever you want in your work and that's exactly why this wasn't a fair outcome. Regardless of how you feel about being able to say something that makes your verse reflected on differently by voters, it's perfectly legal as far as rules go and that's what this is about lifeless.

Thanks tho... oh and if I ever passed a rule like that, this place would fall apart because I've seen you and many other explain your verse in the content of your verse. Fold didn't even do that. Just added a witty comment to show his strengths.

Just to state my opinion on this, I think Pent acted in the interests of fairness and had the leagues best interests at heart when he did so. There was no need for the summary, were supposed to be judged on the VERSES and it COULD of influenced peoples votes. Thats why it was hidden, and I agree with it totally. Call me a cynic, but I cant help but feel if this was Lyricalgangsta06 you would of never gone to these lengthsTo arrange him a rematch. So Fold caught a loss he felt was undeserved, havent we all?! I certainly have. Tell him to just dust his shoulders off, sign back in, and come at me again. Ive nothing but the utmost respect for the kid.

Yawn..."the league would fall apart"...no it wouldn't...it's the same concept as hidden voting...you want to point something out to be clever and crafty...put it hidden and then after I vote I can get the tidbit of your opinion on your piece as a writer...by no means does it belong...otherwise you should abolish hidden votes...and we can all just sway on the tip of a dick...wooh...

I'm not quick to agree with Pent...nor do I ever really...but I feel that fold was swaying votes by doing that...and I feel that anyone who does that is a homo...and I might even go out of my way to vote against anyone who feels the need to do this...

but now that he is out, he has to fight his way back up with the rest of us...

for example...

i was a champion when i signed out...

does that mean i get a title shot cuz i never lost my title?

Ok, so then No Titles of your verses too?

It falls under the same exact principal of writing. It also deeply effects how a verse is judged. So if I started editing out titles under this same morality clause that yall have, lol, would that be fair?

Street poet and Iv, that has nothing to do with it. Lol.... whether or not he's in the league now has no bearing on my question. I just feel he was done an injustice and wondered what yall thought about it.

The way I see it, if you post an explanation to the verse you've written, you're telling everyone that the verse can't explain itself.

Now, it could be left unhidden and the voters could say "Well, it's pretty stupid that you had to explain your verse, I'm voting for the other guy." or they could say "Well, I would have no idea what the point of your verse was without that explanation, and now that I see what you MEANT to get across, even though you didn't get it across, I see it's a dope idea so I'm gonna vote for you."

Which of those is fair? I'm still failing to see the wrongdoing in this situation, only thing I can see is that Fold's was edited and Shrugs was not, that's about as wrong as I see things. And as for the title being an explanation...how? Half the time the title is just the topic used, at least for me anyways, and in Baron's case in this particular situation.

Then again, I'm still waiting to see what was actually hidden. If he didn't touch the verse itself and just hid the explanation I'm sticking by my (and apparently a lot of other peoples') opinion.

Titles are completely different cuz people are usually trying not to give away the story with the title...

and like i said before....

i agreed that fold should have gotten another crack, but fold gave away his privelige by signing out...

so now he has to work his way back up...

I'm going to have to agree with the majority on this..., the league isn't about the explanations of the work, it's about the work itself.

And like most have said, if you can't say what you wanted in the actual piece, what's the point of writing the piece? If you think no one will understand it to the point where you need to explain the entire thing at the end..., then there is no point to write it that way, you're writing this league to get votes from other members in the league, it's not a piece you leave in your notebook for only yourself to read.

Ok, I'll also be noting that Baron has done this same thing in his matches including his match this week where he has a summary of his verse

And in another verse where he not only summarized his verse with a full paragraph, but provided a link to read more.

It is the same thing as editting out a title because it is part of the verse. It wasn't an explanation, it wasn't a summary.. It was a tiny statement that shouldn't of been touched at all. W/e tho..... I guess yall just have no problem with wack ass cheater. Duly noted.
