[list][*]Check-in (Posting in your match to show that you are aware the match exists) is encouraged but not required.
[*]Verses must incorporate at least one of the provided topics and must be at least 16 lines and must not exceed 64 lines.
[*]Anyone who does not post at least 4 rap lines, incorporating at least one of the provided topics, is considered a no-show.
[*]RECYCLING IS NOT STRICTLY PROHIBITED. You may not use any verse that you have previously used within the league at any time. Whether it was a no show, tournament verse recycled for the league or visa versa or any verse that have ever been used within the league perimeters.
[*]During check-in, you can ask your opponent to agree to a line limit (Minimum 16) and if your opponent agrees, Moderators will hold both participants to that limit.
[*]Posting between 4-15 lines is considered a “show” but will not result in a match. If you post 4-15 lines, and your opponent posts between 16-64, you will lose the match but you will remain in the league. If you post 4-15 lines, and your opponent does not show, you will “Win by no-show”.[/list]
Voting:[list][*]If you do not show you can still vote and post the links in your match to receive full voting points. In addition, if you do not show, yet vote on at least 4 matches (Or, every match available, should there be less than 4 matches to vote on) you will remain in the league.
[*]Votes must be hidden! To hide a vote, first thing you type in your reply is a bracket “[“, the word “hide” and end bracket “]”. The last thing you type in your reply is a bracket “[“, a backslash “/”, the word “hide” and end bracket “]”. Unhidden votes will not count towards the match or towards your vote requirements.
[*]No second chance votes! Editing votes for any reason must be approved by mods and explained in reason for editing.
[*]No bias votes! If you have a personal investment in wanting someone to lose, whether because that member voted against you once, or you just don’t like that person, whatever the reason, do not vote in the match. If have a personal investment in wanting someone to win, whether because they’re crew member, or because you want to face that person in the next week’s brackets, whatever the reason, do not vote in the match.
[*]”Bias” must be confirmed by a Moderator.
[*]If there is a match which you will not be able to vote on, due to “Bias” of any type, state so within your match prior to Verses Due Deadline. If this reduces the number of matches available for you to vote on to the point where you are unable to vote on at least 4 matches, the point scale will be adjusted according to how many matches you do vote on.
[*]3-ways are inevitable. In order to provide a tie-breaker in a 3-way, you are now required to indicate in what order the contestants finished (1st, 2nd, 3rd).

People wonder why I point my face at the pavement...
I wonder why its something strangers are strained with,
but instead of keeping us both chasing amazement
I'll answer them in hopes of an exchanging arrangement.
I'm embracing the ancient idea of 'watching your step'
because stepping on toes never gotchu your rep;

There's so many variables that are the cause of effect;
Your skin, your clothes, your posture, your breath,
tooth color, hairstyle, crotch bulge, the car that you drive
and though all of the above are hardly a crime
its the difference between having a party of five
or drinks at the bar while your starving inside...

I wonder why people point their nose at the cosmos.
Maybe they expect to see a ghost or a star roam?
But with little attention to a life youve chosen to follow
what makes you oblivious to the woes that embark most;
such as broken tomorrows? or uncompleted todays?
Most try ignoring their defeat and their pain

by staring at the ground, walking streets like a stray,
which is why I come off as deceivingly strange...
Easing my strain by being honest to ME;
avoiding problems in reach from the gossip you speak.
so when karma turns it around I'll probably be
astonishingly on my route, paying hommage to ME

because for a long time adults give leisure to error;
Vouching for you no matter how you treat your endeavors.
But as you grow into wanting a seed for our terra
you realize theres more to be than speedy and clever.
In the past my greedyness severed friendships and paths
with benevolence slashed trying to get leverage and cash,

but once again I learned that a blemish fills fast
and to make the adrenaline last you need selfishness trashed.
Now, having traveled those roads in the sandals I wore
their wear and tear left me with damaged up soles.
It was footwear everyone had with their clothes,
so I got some sneakers while they'd trample your toes

and if you ask me, that's a disrespective gesture...
As bad as pouring coffee on your best fit dress shirt..
but this problem is honed by collective efforts
like the seventies lacking contraceptives at work...
but back to where everyones indifference coops;
A bunch of nobodies in sandals and business suits

thinking a nine to five uplifts their youth
giving them big balls like a ginseng boost.
Becoming an elder, you peddle nowhere just as fast
thrust off track, so I walk my road to sustain that...
two steps at a time, kinda dancing carefully
my self induced way to avoid having therapy...

Two stepping around all the exposed appendages
Watching my steps, choosing my sentances
seperate from the public's headlessness
because I rock a fitted, and my gesture is...
When you catch me and my face isnt shown,
You better be fucking thankful I've grown

THE KILLER

I keep an eye contact out the window sippin cognac
My lights out alone in my room above a laundry mat
I feast my eyes cus I’m out for his dollars
Leave my room, down the stairs… with a mind like a Rottweiler
Fresh outta joints for my high, I stuck a cat held at gunpoint
His loot was only Lincolns and some Washingtons with few coins
My mission was easy, I’m out to gag to use some duct tape
Tie em up, rob the crib, insure to find a quick escape
Home invade him, beat em bad like Capone
Within his zone I moved to roam and took his riches alone
Movin to own what he had I swung my fist to his dome
Then took my gat atop his temple and the trigger was blown
I never politic my offers, at first Im like a diplomat
When its over with, I keep it packed until he’s sent to black
I leave with speed, as Im swift out the window
Leave the scene without the traces of this victim of my info
It was easy as fuck.. and I’m gone out the premises
My gun stays against me with another cat I’m blessed to fist
I’m leavin… gone.. and the streets still be silent
Out the door down the ave… achieved my time in being violent

THE VICTIM

Criminal thoughts came to mind while I was paid from the boss
Gave this money to the dealer, his demeanor was soft
With some white baking soda for some snow made to sniffout
I saw this was crooked so I snuffed his bitch out
Took his money to my crib, and had this Puerto Rican fuck me
Till she screamed out for dick expressin how much she loved me
I sent the bitch home while I phoned for her taxi
Sat alone in my crib to think when Juan would get at me…
And then.. all of a sudden all the lights just had gone
I took my cigarette spark to keep the room litted on
This figure.. came to break in… and screamed me to drop
Had me stuck on my lips with some tape as I stopped
Tied me up hard with handcuffs and ropes while I gagged
He was out to see the cream from what I previously had…
I knew this couldn’t be happnin.. I was torn up and beatened
Till my face felt his fists as I exhaled and screamed

THE WITNESS

I dug this trash heap in hunger, while in search for some food
Had no home or no job with nothing worthy to do
I saw this dude walk intent to do some physical hurt…
He walked across David Ave into this house on 23rd
I heard the screams and the rumble in the window above..
While the man was abused and then beaten and shoved
And then lights went out.. and more noises were heard
Until some shots rang and then there was silence in words..
I had my hands on a sandwich that I found in the bin
Till that dude came with something that was held in his hand
Like a suitcase or somethin’ til he ran down the ave..
All was quiet and my life was with this sandwich I had (48)

THE HERO

Afar from when the crime happened, I was here in this chair
With a breath sucked on Newports….Then I saw him just there..
He took this suitcase and opened it on the top of his trunk
Saw the cash he collected from the case in the truck…
I snapped my cig, took a stroll with the gat in my pants…
Held it just against my buttocks … I was ready to dance…
Took my wallet out my pocket and revealed him my badge..
I was undercover pimpin as a cop for his stash
I yelled POLICE! GET THE FUCK OUT AND PUT UP UR HANDS
He was scared to try defy me… and replied no demands..
I had him face down and shackled with his hand to the wrist..
And had him face first to see all the cash in my fist..
I took the rest of the cream.. and shut the suitcase closed
Left the scene.. left the killer.. and I soon hit the road…
I had my vehicle a block down and got in and left…
I was the hero of the story with the cash on my lap..
