[list][*]Check-in (Posting in your match to show that you are aware the match exists) is encouraged but not required.
[*]Verses must incorporate at least one of the provided topics and must be at least 16 lines and must not exceed 64 lines.
[*]Anyone who does not post at least 4 rap lines, incorporating at least one of the provided topics, is considered a no-show.
[*]RECYCLING IS NOT STRICTLY PROHIBITED. You may not use any verse that you have previously used within the league at any time. Whether it was a no show, tournament verse recycled for the league or visa versa or any verse that have ever been used within the league perimeters.
[*]During check-in, you can ask your opponent to agree to a line limit (Minimum 16) and if your opponent agrees, Moderators will hold both participants to that limit.
[*]Posting between 4-15 lines is considered a “show” but will not result in a match. If you post 4-15 lines, and your opponent posts between 16-64, you will lose the match but you will remain in the league. If you post 4-15 lines, and your opponent does not show, you will “Win by no-show”.[/list]
Voting:[list][*]If you do not show you can still vote and post the links in your match to receive full voting points. In addition, if you do not show, yet vote on at least 4 matches (Or, every match available, should there be less than 4 matches to vote on) you will remain in the league.
[*]Votes must be hidden! To hide a vote, first thing you type in your reply is a bracket “[“, the word “hide” and end bracket “]”. The last thing you type in your reply is a bracket “[“, a backslash “/”, the word “hide” and end bracket “]”. Unhidden votes will not count towards the match or towards your vote requirements.
[*]No second chance votes! If your vote has been edited, even it was only to hide it, your vote will not count towards the match or towards your vote requirements.
[*]No bias votes! If you have a personal investment in wanting someone to lose, whether because that member voted against you once, or you just don’t like that person, whatever the reason, do not vote in the match. If have a personal investment in wanting someone to win, whether because they’re crew member, or because you want to face that person in the next week’s brackets, whatever the reason, do not vote in the match.
[*]”Bias” must be confirmed by a Moderator.
[*]If there is a match which you will not be able to vote on, due to “Bias” of any type, state so within your match prior to Verses Due Deadline. If this reduces the number of matches available for you to vote on to the point where you are unable to vote on at least 4 matches, the point scale will be adjusted according to how many matches you do vote on.
[*]3-ways are inevitable. In order to provide a tie-breaker in a 3-way, you are now required to indicate in what order the contestants finished (1st, 2nd, 3rd).

These are the two matches for every no show winner to vote on and every member of the league to vote on as well. If you don't vote in those matches, you will not advance. The story of the failed years, 2003-2005... names have been changed to protect the inocent, and the guilty alike.

We need to talk…
about your flair we chimed, every time,
routine, we’d get really high, practically blind
and watch Office Space, lost in space
and time so often it was commonplace.
Dawn was great for me, just us and weed,
that was, at least, until she fucked with speed,
then fucked with Steve, but I managed my rage
dismantling the page like a rambling sage,
and calmed myself with words,
whispered in thirds, then felt absurd.
So I kept just one phrase as a key to lock
my feelings away, when I told her…
we need to talk.

I’d hear stories, flooring me at first,
and felt cursed, like it couldn’t get any damn worse.
She fell into hurtful circles at such a cost.
She anted her dignity for a high, and fucking lost.
In our little snowglobe town it was a scandal,
snow fell slowly, snuffing Dawn’s future’s candle.
I needed a handhold, felt my future slipping too
as tripping grew from weekends, and I started missing school,
Weeks like lightning pass, got dropped from my writing class.
Just sat on my ass, watching the world through my past.
Office Space lost its place of hilarity
and began scaring me, only laughed fairly sparingly
The world unfurled and entirely lost its clarity.
I’d barely been writing, but then I lost my words.
That’s what did it, simplistic when heard,
but I saw my trail along that downward spiral
of my world, but caught it before it was final,
and resolved to save my girl at all costs.
She was by now lost by all accounts some thought,
but I caught her falling halo on fate’s road,
though many trains rode along her trackmarks, I thought
it’s not to late though…
I told her… we need to talk.

Awoken by my cell phone ringing “Closing Time,”
Dawn’s ring, hoping time’s not a factor, at two-oh-nine,
I hear a strange man’s voice, his choice of words careful,
but there’s no mistaking the tone, it tears a hole
in my heart. She’d been back on track, off the smack
and she even moved back in, withheld withdrawal attacks,
but she left last night pissed off over nothing,
which I guess led to something,
so when he said the word ‘accident’ I said OK…
I knew there were no words left to say…
