As Ron’s jaw braces a shotgun butt pitching his cranium

Reality check in progress, now Clef’s teen angst seems trite
As he’s no longer above his loving family’s life as suburbanites…

Rebecca’s Uncle Sam’s child foregoing feminine wiles
Still in denial about Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in her file
Iraq’s border thousands of miles past yet there’s no going back
Can’t hold her soul intact and her lifeline won’t show any slack
Resorting to crack, whoring herself out thru bouts of depression
Pressin’ the needle in a phone booth and out comes a heroine
Harrowing tales or head is what erupts from her dirty mouth
As the city douses the outside with police from the dirty south
The bank robbers’ demeanor going south as the sirens increase
Their crime falling to pieces as the vaults on a time-release…

For them it’s time to flee, meanwhile Ron cough’s, still queasy
A robber opted to bounce his weapon right off the heezy
Clef’s freakin’, when he sees possibility in escaping lobotomy
Ron’s the anomaly still looking to escape the monotony
Both he and Rebecca spot Clef with their eyes straining
Due to the former’s calm apathy and the latter’s training
Sustaining a steady sprint the kid signs his own death
His footsteps tip off a robber as he whines under his breath
Ron runs out toward the hostage control as he lifts his piece
Realizing he’s too late he moves to dodge the bullets’ release
But he’s held steady as canvas painted by a bloody artiste
As police swarm the child to safety as SWAT storms the retreat
Bodies drop as cops pop the bank robbers into their next life
As Rebecca holds Ron in his arms he’s forced to ask “Why..?”
She’d seen the light, her answer in the form of a child
Someday she’d have her own and let her oats grow wild
Suddenly Ron was having an epiphany realizing his state
“You fucking bitch, I could have written something great!”
But she just smiled, finally knowing what she’d fought for
And while no one was looking, Clef dropped on the floor
A down payment on his future, signed J. Edgar Moore.

B and M - this was a nice piece I liked the twist at the end
cus at first I kinda got irritated cus it seemed liked the usual
ho falling in love and dude going mad and kills pimp piece
but you switched it nicely so that was coo
I must say this read away SMOOTH the flow was sick
I liked how you two made it clear who did what but
it still felt like one piece this was def a good read I enjoyed it

V and C - This was a weird piece to me
I didnt get a lot of things plus the way it was written
was too abstract to my opinion
it kinda felt like you 2 focused on vocab more than anything
but the rhyme scheme was dope tho I also liked the whole def jam
and how it felt like you were talking bout wyclef
if Im wrong correct me and explain it to me

at first I didnt wanna read this battle it seemed so damn long
but it was worth it but
while VnC came with a nice vocab it just couldnt hold a finger up to the
clarity and flow and just the imagery of BnM their piece
but this was a nice closure of the tag team but it could have been better
IMO but thats just me

plus I wanted vote here cus no one else seems too
and it would be messed up if this would have gotten NO votes
and thats my 2 cents

Yo Momma & Black Beard:::Nice piece- let me start off saying the flow at the beginning was excellent, everything was described real good and I was really feeling the writing. Then to the end it kind of faded a bit, but was still good. It was very intriguing the whole way through, but I just didn't understand the ending so much. Why would she kill him? She didn't have any motive other than she's psycho, just doesn't make any sense. If you don't love him, don't tell him you love him and just leave him out of your life, don't keep him in your life for no reason and then kill him. Just didn't get that at all. I mean it was a great ending...if she had any kind of motive at all for killing him. I mean she wanted to erase her old life or whatever and move onto a new one...ok, still doesn't mean she has to kill him. Made no sense, everything was really good in this piece, excitement, flow, writing was nice, but the ending just didn't make sense..even though it was dramatic.

Vigil & Clausehouse::: Cool piece. I read this over several times trying to grasp exactly what happened. I guess Clef got the money and ran? And Rebecca...no clue what she fought for, I guess she created a setup? The ending seemed almost ambiguous to me. Were they possibly a family? And then Rebecca being able to have her "oats grow" didn't seem to have much to do with anything, just seemed kind of random. I mean they were all hostages right? I loved the involvement of many characters and their description at the beginning, but the ending of it has me a bit irritated as I'm unable to figure out the point. I think the story should've been made a bit longer to fully clarify everything, sure you know what everything means, but as a reader I have no clue. Also "As Rebecca holds Ron in his arms he’s forced to ask “Why..?” that made it seem a bit rushed there. Anyways, still a pretty good piece none the less.

Vote=Yo momma & Black Beard Just better flow and writing. As far as both stories go, I would've easily given this to Vigil and Clause could I figure out exactly what happened and all the different complexities of each in the small summary they gave, because as I stated Yo Momma and Black Beard's just didn't make much logical sense to me. Either way, both pieces made me think, which I don't know if that's a good thing that I should have to work so hard to decypher things myself, but it may be. Nice showing by both.

dics writing style is gritty, it has a way of telling itself crudely and i really liked it, of course i saw alot of the multis i like... overall a grandiose piece...
