I think the reason sum peeps dont look too deep into it, is because they took some kind of pride in the song and what it stood for, if not then I believe they would have seen it as detrimental. I think its sad when people stick up for a negative song (when they know it to be negative) just so the people who complain don't have such a strong foothold in the argument.
Oh and why did the writer of the article say it was taking a jab at 'black masculinity' and not masculinity as a whole? that irks me too
