never heard a bad song from her, and they are all unique. she's really in her own lane. i need to listen to her more often. but i don't know where to start.

^She has two albums out (Solo Star, Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams), and probably a project on the way..

I think it'll take time for people to catch up to her, tbh..

good lookin out on putting me onto Solange. she's so good it's scary. she's throwback with neon colors.

like how the big band, swing eras and even some of mo-town sounds like black and white. but then she's got the crazy 80's baby graffiti neon, but the psychedelic colors of funk too.

she's so good daaaaayum.

that song she dropped over the polaris beat by zero 7 with bilal had me yellin out in the middle of the library.

all of her songs sound different but still has her stamp on it. they've got a real genuine personality to them.

I do believe this is one of the best descriptions of her musical style I've ever read.

This sounds really freestyle influenced. Pretty good though. I Like it. Actually heard about her coming back a few weeks ago on the radio (WGCI in Chicago). I think they had her on speaking on why she took a hiatus or whatever but I wasn't paying very close attention, tbh.

One thing I like about her, she's not forcing anything when it comes to music, nor does she limits herself in any way..

If I'm not mistaken she's also a parent, so perhaps that had something to do with taking a hiatus..

Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams is my favorite album of hers. I think she really came into her own on that project, so that would be a great starting point. Her 1st album is pretty damn good too. Solo is dope as hell!
