I posted this exercise up here before. Figure we start up again with something simple. Here go one I did on the last one we had on acrostic poems about two years ago

Pushing aside nightmares that hold answers

Everyone dies, death is cancerous

Seeing

What i've been running from
Inside of these words
There was once a trace of my
Heart...

Ignited to a delighted feeling that no- one knows

emphasizing hips and hypnotizing talks

man cant resist complementing her on her walk
yes she’s thunderously tempestuous, at times, she’s
serious as prince tantalus
entire countryside subside cause of her liberty and justice
looks like she will be the queen of luxurious
female of the year, she’s bigamous

She Ran From Her Reflection


Something in her chest began to weep
Hours after she had turned herself over to
Eternity and its dancing demons.

Reality becoming shadows she waved
Away with promises of
Never consuming the sun again.

From her reflections she
Ran...[hair waving goodbye to the truth]
Once she saw sunken eyes
Mirrored in frozen promises.

He wouldn’t return
Even if she kept arms extended in half circles
Repeating vows of...unconditional slavery

Regressing into shallow pools of co dependency
Everything done to avoid nights alone under
Florescent lights. counting cracks on ceilings and
Loop holes
Engraved in memory. She
Couldn’t stay alone. knowing
Tomorrow her chest would weep
Insisting eternity will hurl her into
Oblivion. Hes gone...without a trace of love existing between those stench filled walls and
No one left to hide into once she runs from the image of a desperate woman. stranded.
