A Poem I Wrote To My Valentine
Ever since day one, I had you in my line of sight
Only fools rush in, I wait until the time is right
You know me enough to see I'm brutally honest
It 'rings' true. I'm see through
I trust without a 'promise'
I told you - even keel - nothing really bothers me
Except when your parts ache
It causes heartbreak, honestly
I don't necessarily know how to be romantic
But I can sit down & pick apart your every antic
Welcome you in my house of blues & empty out the attic
If you can live without your shoes I'll show you how I can fit
Walk 3000 miles with you & your monk.eys on my back just
To catch a sunset on the shores of the Atlantic
& remind you what it's like to breathe with the slack cut
Don't panic - being a shoulder to cry on is my specialty
Especially when we click like whoa - mentally

The promise ring quote was me clowning on her last relationship sorta... this dude gave her a promise ring after like a month... and we always joke about it lol.

^I was really feeling those lines the most. You rarely ever come up in here and when you do it's never on some lovey dove type stuff lol. But I enjoyed the read. The flow was nice. Pretty sure If I was your girl and you gave me this I'll give you some.

I swear i just replied to this piece....and it did not show up

anyhoo what i was saying was it was a great piece....and i liked the way u left the reader with enough insight to get it was an inside joke, but enough space to pick this piece apart and sort of create their own meaning out of it....nice piece
