lone
with too many
peers who don't
understand
the quest for
something real

Like the muscles
in his strong

that felt too solid
in the flesh
yet
so warm, but nothing
like the smile shown
at first sight

again.

had me thinking
for a split second
about
about something more;
the attributes of what
truly makes a man.
had me thanking god
that he is becoming...
perhaps already he is.
and
I feel kinda good that
we are still such
close friends
after all these years.

the love of my life
the lover
in
my life

...none of the above,
though when we were young
we played house,
we'd make believe

but he is easily loved,
since childhood
came to an abrupt
end
-ing
younger years of
in
no
cent
friendship.
years later
collectibles are now
his college books
and a long hard job.
somehow he knows
his quest is far from
his win.
and for some reason I got
those sweet, aggravating
butterflies
when we met up

again.

Shit is real. It's hard being a young lady in today's world. The quality of Men has declined over the last five generations, as morals have been devalued and more importance has been placed on how much money we bring in, instead of what we did to do it. The happiest woman out of my graduating class is married to a farmer. Hold on girl, there's a real one out there for you. I'll be in Lafayette before Summer

nice little piece...i think this displays how sometimes men and women tend to at sometimes let what used to be or certain comfort levels dictate where certain relationships go.

I was reading this... and really started to enjoy just that.... just reading it... the style seemed to flow nicely when I read a loud... seemed like it would be a nice spoken word piece... I pictured in my head you speaking this outloud... and I also was able to picture the emotion in your voice, even when I've never heard your voice... I really feel you on this...

This was a nice read here. Style was kinda different from what I'm use to see from you. I know you've heard the saying, there somebody out there for everybody. But once you grown attatched to a person for so long, looking is the damnest thing to do after that relationship burns out.

Nice piece. I liked the style, it was something a bit different..choppier but in that good kind of way. To me it had a mellow soft spoken feel, a reflection of some sort.
