poor boy rich head

growling back at an empty stomach
the poor boy asks himself
"what the fuck happened"?

as I watch daddy sink with a sputtering business
abondon ship
now hes swimming the stock market

and all this fucking money is starting to make me nervous.
im not used to all the freedom
I can now afford to spend money on bullshit

I imagine the stress of managing 65 million in assets

I growl at my empty stomach
but these days he stays silent
and well fed
I get a check every month for my expenses
I dont have a job
I go to college
and my daddy daddy he is paying for it

been home for a month
he wrote more checks then words in this poem

and this poor boy is nervous
because with all this money
this poor boy just feels like we are falling into debt
just like we always did

its hard to get used to this new pattern called success

and I call in a misfortune.
Ive become an embarassment to my heritage
because these days

I am soo fuckin well fed
it makes me nervous

wow man, been a lil time since i read your work and now it once again reestablished why i keep comin back for more. The poem itself was so clear and used just the right words to convey your point and emotion required. I feel you on this coz yeah with success and money i'm not all that optimistic if luck is a big factor. And the stock market is just that. Hope it all goes well man. Thanks for sharing.
Oh and that growling back at your stomach line was pure fire. I got burnt.

Usually with the ones I've read from you time after time the majority of them make me think a lot, and this may be on the surface, as far as what you're saying-your situations, but I always look for the deeper meanings.
"Poor Boy Rich Head"-sounds like you're grateful, or appreciative of it, but you don't feel you deserve it. Saying back then you wanted money, and now that its there, you're searching for something other than that in life; money doesn't deliver happiness, not long-term anyway, for many. Money is causing problems maybe lol? I'm not sure.

because with all this money
this poor boy just feels like we are falling into debt
just like we always did

the opposite of what readers may have thought you would have said, and that's good, I like this part a lot. A few years back this situation happened to my mom, but I saw that coming. Even when you are out of debt it always feels like you still are.
Anyway, it's nice to read something from you. Me and you should get together sometime and collab on something. I haven't written a peom actually meaningful to me in a good while if that adds up to any sense lol.

wooooord up

man this metaphor "growling at my empty stomach" is cold....I do alot of spiritual fasting and this line hit me hard....the poem about the poor boy is deep like he has everything you could ever ask for as far as money and material things go but deep down he is empty of passion missing the thing that really matters....love the twist to this poem...money doesnt REALLY bring anybody TRUE happieness...the rish tend to think it'll solve all your problems...but it doesnt and new problems arise....love the sudden coming of this wealth to the not ready poor boy...nervous because of all he has and yet he has nothing....great story yo...really enjoyed this one

PEACE AND GODBLESS
