Noose and a Swastika

Lay down a noose and a swastika
Is there any difference
Two eras
Two different objects
One simple conclusion?
Do you see hate?
Dead men and women in spirits forgotten?
Fields of dead bodies
Or trees filled with dead bodies
Visit a plantation and a death camp
Is there any difference?
Two eras
Two different places
One simple conclusion?
Homes of suffering
Places of inequality
Immoral grounds haunted by history
Faces of death
Hands scared to work
Places of hope
Where the dim glows softly
Two eras
One hope
One simple conclusion



I saw a smile last time I saw you
Not a worry in the world
Seemed we were all young and vibrant
You had a home a family a life
I would catch up on your name every once and awhile
We weren't close that's no problem
I knew you and you knew me
We were always gonna be friendly and say hello
But I've come to hear you ended it
Shotgun to your head
Maybe I could have changed it
Maybe not
Times are in a different reality
Things will probably forever be lost
All I know is that your dead
And with me a little has died
Times Are Troubled
And Times Are Dangerous
