Pillow

And with my head resting against my pillow
my mouth moving gently against it
finding somewhere to go
with my lips
forming the words id need to use
against you
to make you believe me
in the morning
I hate having to speak against you
when I just want to speak with you
with the same words
we use to excuse
all the bad shit we do
to eachother
to ourselves
or whoever
it doesnt matter
i hate speaking now
my eyes are leaking now
the pain's just spilling out
against the pillow that at one time
represented comfort
represented love
represented us
before we decided to run
in oposite directions
i wonder now
how we found ourselves
back with eachother
when we were running from eachother
i guess somewhere
somehow
we turned around
and ran back into the arms
falling again
and again
and tripping all over
Trying to stand up
but resting against
the pleasure and pain
mixed together
in cotton sheets
that represent
nothing
and everything
that ive missed
that i never want to experience
again..
but it's different this time
right?
And, I rest my head against
almost trying to sneak into
the pillow that's seen
and heard
midnight love
and midnight confessions
midnight stressing
and midnight blessings
that werent enough then
didnt even out
arent even now
stuck..
laying down...
when i should be standing up
cause love...
hasn't had enough
it deserves more...
and saying that, I cant because
I've had enough
doesnt add up
all that it's given me
deserves to be given back...

wooooord up

this was cool....sorta personal and venting out those stored emotions....i love the personification of the pillow!?...you really took this poem to a new level...talked about the good and bad and the comfort of your pillow...on cold nights...midnight stress...or some midnight love...those midnight blessin (praying)....those midnight confessin...words/arguements....resting against the pleasure and pain...that good hurt that only love can bring...the mixin in the sheets....great concept...love how you stayed on topic and brought back the pillow...laying down when you should be standing up....love this part alot...the whole idea of cant keep a good girl down...and the fondation for the human spirit to keep moving on...to push forward...and the struggles with love...the idea that it all doesnt add up and you havent given up because of all that its given you in a way you gotta give it all back and more...(starting with your pillow I assume)...then leading up to the person this writen about...and then of course to better youself....good stuff....props on this

Yea, it seems like the pillow comforts you, but at the same time it holds in all that you want to express... this wasa really nice piece... I love how you express yourself and how you let the emotions run in this piece.

Hrmm to me... the pillow represents your partner. The part of saying your words mouthing them, late night confessions, etc... sounds like it's peaceful and relaxing when you and ya partner are sleeping or preparing to fall asleep. Then when the day comes to all the problems that are there for you to face. So overall the only peace/love you know is at night when you are about to sleep.
