Real Poetical (featuring RealMs)
this is some real ish right here me and the young queen got some heat here, don't sleep let us know what you think.
illpo- regular
realms- blueish, bold italics
My air has become stagnant and rotten
A brother must be playing Toby in the everyday version of “Roots”
This isn’t a movie though
Crocodile tears fall from your face but are acidic and destroy our roots
Cats standing in a laughable line waiting for reparations
While the majority laugh at us housed in Gucci covered ivory towers
There’s a reason no one like me is on the face of any money
But it was the blood my ancestors spilt that the establishment was established with
They wrote the national anthem with whips as the bass and shackles as the beat
A man cries, a woman cries
You’ll never understand what we’re talking about
My tongue is swollen and my mouth’s dry
Because, I’ve been trying to educated the mis-informed my whole life
But, I’m too young to communicate in hate, racism, and oppression
But, I was never too young to deal with hate, racism, and oppression
I feel like I should be screaming, but I’m in a one person vacuum
The stigmata I experience isn’t religious, it’s slashes and tears in my back flesh
I walk to unemployment but they want me to go to the military
I had almost a 4.0 GPA and these mother fuckers want me to go to the military
It’s hard enough dodging the repo man, the bill collectors, the racial profiling, the ignorance, the baby’s mamas
Without having to dodge police “friendly fire” bullets
Land of the greed and home of disgrace
Imagine if the richest black people weren’t all entertainers
But, I see I’m preaching from the pulpit and the only person in my church is Real
She’s 16 and understands the ramifications of the tourniquets that we are tieng around our own necks
She’s spitting some southern gumbo that you need to have a bowl of
I writing with sulfuric acid and no gloves
I’m not the truth but the truth sometimes get hidden in fallacies
Wake up, Spike got that one thing right
Next time you go to cop that Benz and get a house in the hills
Remember how hard it was for you to get it
Remember how hard people fought for you not to get it
This country is its own doppelganger, it’s own down fall
Every time a new breeze forms in the air..?
Why is it that we as a people are the ones that have to fall?
The past was resurrected, the day after it died,
When mahogany candles flickered to slanted, crooked dims,
Evil execrated this Woman with its old way of life
Speak equally is like sayin'
All at fault, its defenseless to blame one
Some demur while sufferers want change,
So let me say right now I stand before this union,
You've been and still pointing your fingers
We're ready for any and every, including your unjust guns
Where was it written, America being mandatory,
To hold opportunities for one "nationality"?
The Anthem has probability of being worded incorrectly,
If your sayings are lawful it should be sung
"Land of the greed, and the home of one race,"
But exclude my principles, my own certain being...
Akili and B. vow not to repeat history,
Unluckily we experience some relatively...
Signs triggering from "citizens of the old stock,"
If it wasn't for the second voice
Maybe things would not be considered democracy
Working for Peace is quoted a "tough task,"
Put into my terms, it's not for the "money"
But yes the aftermath, of better lives,
For the sake of our children...
Uncultured brings brighter justice
But why choose to live benighted in this land...
Of opportunity so how come a staggering feel in your hands,
Everytime a new breeze forms in the air..?
replied to- symmetrical aftermath, put it down, i'm suffocating underneath this bs
