my mother

i dedicate this poem to my one and only mother/
wrote it to let her know that i love her/
and i thank her for being close to me like a brother/
i love u mama thats wut i tell her when i hug her/
a hard workin woman raisin a boy into a man/
dealt with me with her own bare hands/
cus my father abandoned us cus he wasn't man enough/
to take care of his own seed, i guess it was too tough/
too rough, but anyways forget that coward/
he hurt my mother and bounced on his own blood/
made alot of damage like a flood/
so my mom had to struggle all on her own/
worked hard just to provide me with a home/
all on her own alone/
she worked hard to provide me with a good education/
so i can make something out of myself in this world/
no one can take my moms place, not even a girl/
cus my mom i love for everything she did for me/
i thank god for how good of a mother she be/

DAmn DAT was deep even though it sounded like a Flow... still deep though you expressed some shyt that happne everyday in that and dats what drew my attention and kept me readin drop mo shyt like this

This was avery heartfelt piece. These pieces are always going to be hard to do justice. I mean how do you put into words all your mum has done for you? I enjoyed reading this, there was highs and the occasional low, like:-

cus my father abandoned us cus he wasn't man enough/
to take care of his own seed, i guess it was too tough/

this part where you talk about your father, is beautiful because even though you say he wasn't man enough, your reference to too tough makes it seem that you acknowledge he is human, almost like forgiving him. I liked that part because it didn't put an edge to the poem mainly for your mother.

I agree with brit, that line showed some mercy to him.. because you never know, someday that may be your situation and its good that you're realising that it's human errors at the end of the day and no ones perfect.. i enjoyed the read..
