so sad, broken dreams of a life i never had....
im alone again, as it will be in the end,
i just wish i had that one true friend,
whos faith and loyalty would never bend,
but nothing in this material world seems to have faith in me,
i wish i could hold and see, something as pure as a loving family
but i stop and remeber all the shit that ive seen,
and in all the trouble ive been
my boy lays in the cold dark earth.....
returning to a place before birth
he with our god in the skys,
allways watching trough lidless eyes
i wish i could have stoped what went down that day,
thats all i can think as i sit and i pray...
all the shit thats happened was just fuckin gay
we where best friends since b 4 i could walk,
you where there when we owned that damn block
but i wasent there when you needed me man
i think about it all that i can
i should have been there to stop that fight
then it all would have been allright
but instead i lost my brother that day,
its to you i allways pray
with just one flash of a blade,
and a stab of a knife....
you my brother where gone from my life
you kept fightin till the day you died
and thats the last and only time i eva cryed
you will allways be there in my heart....
thats a place you cant tear us apart
this is for a man that will never be,
and i boy that i will never again see....

I felt this very much. It was heartfelt, and something i can dig...deep down..

I personally am fortunate to not have ever been directly affected by pointless violence. I live in a dominantly white area in the counrty where not too much goes down but I pray for those lost souls who have fallen victim to stupidity.
