Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,
Not a precise incision,
I make my own decisions.
If we all would make mistakes
And everyone committed the same
If learning is just what it takes
Then there would be no shame.
Stereotype that: white is rich,
The black is poor
Then certainly you are a fool
And if you stereotype me
You didn’t go to school.
The hark-knock lesson must be learned
That if you play with fire you will get burned.
If every son was like his father
And every daughter just like her mother
Then we would all be racists
Women would stay home and cook
Men would be plain sexists.
Don’t underestimate the nerdy look
You get more then expected
When you mistakenly overlook.

I do not know...

...for me, the meaning was there...though maybe was 'worked' a bit too much...and therefore fell here and there...

...yet it still 'shone' strong...especially with some of the lines that kept it all very much 'alive'...

I thought that it lacked metaphors and similies, as well as any indepth meaning. Well, sure, the definition of stereotypes were there, but where was your voice in this? I just thought a dictionary or another individual wrote this down from what he heard before and not he really thinks. Next piece you drop, be sure to think of your own voice and act like you're talking to the reader. Deliverance makes a complete difference in your work. My blessings..

yeah this poem title caught my eye

We just talked about this subject a few weeks ago in school....I think its a serious issue that is often overlooked

I like the idea/concept of this
