I’m having a hard time rapping my mind around forever
Its starts with till death do us part,
And ends in a trivial wind of bull shit and then,
I have a hard time rapping my heart around never again,
Yes the emotions are there but I just can’t let them win
I look in her eyes and know she desires more
So I apply pressure and push on her hard,
Hoping that one day she’ll say I hate you,
Causing us to go our separate ways,
Allowing her to think she’s better off
“Ass whole”
And me thinking I played my part
“Dumb ass”
I run it back thru as I stroll through the park,
The sun’s light is just right, wind blows just suttle
They hug and then kiss,
Hold hands and then sit,
There like 75-80,
I remember seeing them do the same thing when I was nine,
If love exists this has got to be it,
I remember hearing them talk,
Not one single day apart,
Young couples get fed up after a couple months,
I think damn how many relationships it would take to add up to them,
How many quick flings,
How many two and half year stints,
How many five year bids all for the sake of the kids,
How many married for 1 yr and separated for 6 just cause it works out around tax season
Would it take to equal their years?
But then,
There is no love like old love,
Old hugs,
Old kisses,
No tongue just lips,
And the gentle caresses that comes with it,
When forever meant never leaving,
For better meant enduring the worst,
When I do meant monogamy
But then those where the days when love could be seen,
It was a viable being,
It didn’t just show only on Valentines Day,
Masquerading as a cubby cherub with wings and a diaper
Shooting pipe dreams with a bow and arrow,
So I have a hard time rapping my mind around forever,
But an even harder time living with never being loved,
The affectionate hugs and passionate kisses,
Of love,

dig this i have been married 4 1year now(10/14) and i neva overstood my whys until now. thank you 4 this poem. the hottest lines were the closings;
so i have ahard time rapping my mind around 4ever, but an evn harder time living with neva being loved,the affectionate hugs and passionate kisses,of love. now i know that when i said i do it wasn't just 2 her physical but it was 2 her best part her soul, her love, now i can rap my mind around 4ever.
