Who Am I
Who am I
I'm just a man
Thoughtful and creative
Complex, but yet basic
Caring...
Ready to teach, but also willing to learn
I laugh, but I cry
At times, I find myself asking God why
Why... when life is testing me
Do I seem to let the enemy get the best of me
And the Lord said to me
Through this gift with which He blessed in me
That whenever life is stressing me
To praise His Holy name perpetually
I'm a man of destiny...
A man of valor and courage
But I don't mean courage as in being a hero in the face of danger
No... I mean the courage to admit to my flaws
The courage to boldly say, I AM A SINNER
But with Christ in my life, I'm also a winner
The courage to realize that I fall short of the Glory of God
The courage to pray for the cleansing of my sins
And to rise to who I was made to be
I'm a man of faith...
A faith unbending, not pretending
But expending, sending and extending
Praise unending, as if my life were depending on it
Recommending that you do the same
I'm a believer that everything happens for a reason
And that your attitude determines your season
Who am I...
I'm a walking recipient of God's blessings
And a living testimony of His glory
Because the Lord instilled breath in me
So until the death of me
I'll continue to minister through poetry
In a way the world has yet to see
So who am I...
I'm just a man
Determined to live my life according to God's plan.

You shouldn't have used black text, you have to highlight the words in order to read it but it was really good. We all need to admit to our flaws but admitting and working to change them in order to live for God will reap the greatest reward. God Bless, Keep doin ya thing

Something a lot of people in the world, including myself have trouble doing. Facing the facts in regards to themselves and taking the steps to change it. I've been trying for years to find that courage to find God. It's a long journey, but I haven't given up yet. Still learning and living. Powerful piece man.

the poem could not have been executed better.. not that i know anyone cares but just yesterday i was having a convo where the topic was a son or daughter who was raised in a situation that they may feel is forced on them in adapting personalities.. but at the same time i feel your poem is against that.. its self reflection.. to want to break the habit.. its upstanding to have that attitude..

but stay up man until your on your way up
