i wanted to write about writing holla

I wanna write the types of verses that’ll melt the wax in your ear
That flow the way Jay does when he makes his hits
That are hype like the way Mr. Williams is when he directs his videos
I want to be avant-garde and cutting edge when I write
I wanna write those rhymes that make you say hell yeah after every line
I wanna write books that you never read, but know every poem from word of mouth
I still wanna write
I still plan to do this until my hands get arthritic and can’t bend
I still plan to write until my eyes get red and start burning from looking at the pen and pad too long
I wanna write those poems that aren’t even poems
But are more like scenes from a movie painted so vividly that they leave you crying
I wanna pierce my veins in front of nikki and sonia and show them that I too bleed ink
I still wanna write
How can I put into words that all I want to do is put things into words
That I wanna grab a million pieces of paper and try to capture all of the verses in my head
Place them into verses from my head and put them onto the paper
I wanna break all my bones and only be able to move my right arm so that I can write
That way I don’t have to worry about my job or kids and can just write
I wanna write incessantly until incessantly can be extended
I wanna write all day every day and never have to leave my pen
I wanna write a new anthology of poems every week
I wanna write a poem for every 0 and 1 in the binary computer code
I still wanna write
I still look at Black Ice and Lemon and admire their style
I wanna write until one day when I’m long gone someone says they admire my style
I wanna write until all my muscles atrophy
Until my voice becomes muted and deteriorates and all that is left are my words
I wanna hold the essence of the written word in my essence
I wanna be examined by everyone because someone decided they wanted to write more than me
I still wanna write
All my brain wants to compute and digest is writing
My heart is made of loose-leaf and ink stained nibs
I wanna write today, tomorrow, and the day after
All I can feel in my medulla oblongata is poetry and prose
I don’t wanna love or fight
All I know is that everyday more and more
I still wanna write

i thinkt its saul williams or j ivy that did a poem like this on def poetry..i loved that shit and always wanted to write some shit like this but it never quit worked out for me...very well put together piece..i like how u switched shit up and drew lines out instead of just starting every single like with i wanna write...
