i attempted to write this the way i would speak it at a poetry slam. so feel me !!

sleep. . . . walking
to restless to lay still cause my minds eye
is focused on large bills
ending up with small faced tens
and discolored twenties
to pay bills beyond my means
the starting transition of a fiend
the hustle of a hustler, reason for vague dreams,
breaking down details to the minuscule degree
up nights. . .

Sleep. . . . stalking
things that counter my religious up bringing
split decision turn into reoccurring things,
sprouting wings infecting my un-conceived seed
dismantling the future at the same moment it had a chance to breath
making my foundation quiver,
causing my subconscious to work over time,
making my body react by . . . .

Sleep. . . . walking
eyes wide shut to reality with out this weed,
this liquor,
this tight tummy fat waist no name feminine fatal next to me
sweet. . . . talking
my demons, paying certain prices hoping they'll let me be
as I'm going thru withdrawals of substances my body can no longer endure
I'm at war with my veins to stay in the same place,
but they refuse me, as they dry and wither away

I drift,
sleep. . . .
speaking truth in whispers ,
under the noise of the streets
walking. . . .
to a silent beat,
straddling a fine line, as unknowns lay lurking on either side
stalking. . . .
as the hunter becomes the hunted by a instrument of his own design..
sleep. . .

aimlessly walking blind
long lost of my goals
I now rub elbows for nickels and dimes,
tap dance to the chime as they drop in my cup,
one pity at a time . . . . .

this is an ode to nothing
because
i am owed nothing
the cause
i ask for nothing
and i get nothing

because i am nothing
or broken apart
i am no thing

i am not a thing
nor am i an object
an object of love
an object of interest
an object of passion

and i object to the nothings ive become

i once had dreams
i once believed i could be anything
then anything became a something
now something tells me i cant be anything
and nothing gives me hope

im twenty one years old now
one third of the average life span
one foot of a yard
two feet for the grave

one ring of a circus
trying to bring balance
i stay high, wired
waiting to be shot from the cannon
propelled to either greatness or death

earn your cash
or urn your ash

but how can I make an honest living
when I'm living a lie?

because money is the root of all evil
and evil is the root all all goodness
there is a yin for every yang
and there is a lyric for every note

but sometimes
music doesnt need lyrics to move you
and its better left to the imagination

and sometimes
there won't be a yang til there is a yin
but need is caused by despiration
so, i ask myself why...

Let’s have sex on the beach,
Intimate contact, unprotected sex, that’s elite
Mature consenting adults crushing, Marvin Gaye, “let’s get it on” plays softly, so sweet
Its time we set the mood,
Time for eruptions, orgasms, doesn’t that feel goooood?
Eat up the moment as a child is conceived,
Depletion of resources is the issue, truth is we’re about to leave,

Remember our planet, and its carrying capacity,
Erogenous desires, uniformed, thee audacity
So many mouths to feed, fuck, lets make another,
Or planet is filling swiftly, even though we kill one another
Under so many peoples noses the treat becomes pending,
Reformation of our ways is vital, but I don’t see us bending,
Circumstances that we’re in, definitely time wont amend,
Every one breeds like rabbits,
Starvation causes our end!

Yes I know, that rough sex with a penis, unprotected
Enhances pleasure for both partners,
Inevitably it’s selected,
Long before there were Trojans, honey and herbs what they used,
Desires can be fulfilled as long as a condom you choose!

The time is now for reformation
Haughty, ignorant masses, loins all need containment,
Everyone will reap the benefits, I promise!

Expect to live longer?
No one really does,
Damage done to our environment, is to late to un-buzz,

Open season on souls,
For evil, hell bowls, for us!

Manage your organs, stay protected, you’ll see
All humans can survive , another decade or three
Never forget the message that will keep man alive…

this, my precious, is for you...

bunches of butterfly beasts manifest,
moms spaghetti slowly starts s p r e a d i n g across the floor,
meeting destiny eye to eye,
in the background a violin is stretching its chords.

rain forces the suns rays into submission,
as a beautiful afternoon develops an eerie silence,
the pitter patter of rain drops prove identical to tears,
in my little letter to my ominiscent highness.

the clock is running and my heart is stop-ping,
packed an ice filled glass of water to fight off this fever,
bones disengrating as a skeleton occupies my bed,
i see the grim reeper.

house lights dim while the moonlight falls asleep,
coyotes howl, took midnight as its prey,
skin shedding so swiftly no soul can see me shake,
but there's steps to touch and obstacles in my way.

the city seems so alive from a window,
envious of all those people in the park talking,
fear suffocates dreams as numbness is created,
and all this once sure hope is halt-ing.

somewhat suprising, somewhat predictable,
prime innocence leading me to unfounded faith,
it's eyes lie and it's face drips stains of satisfaction,
letting it slip me gently into my grave.

the telephone wires visit extinction,
outside it continues to hail,
you were in a sense my feeding tube,
nolonger able to breathe, i turn pale.

second guessing, obtaining that gunwrenching feeling,
learning all about the class of U.S. history from you,
the grim reeper slashes me with its weapons,
this is what it's like to lose a dream come true.

and so intricately too, I must commend you
for making these moves...so planned,
so exact, to the very core of a
heart once intact. Destroying me piece
by piece, through a love I held
too long.
I will not play the pawn...
You set me straight, like a rook
moving forward to replace
it's bait. Perhaps it's fate,
or perhaps you played me from
the first date, to set me up for humiliation in the
worst way...
But I prefered to stay, immersed my hurt
with wordplay when I should have left you
on the first day I knew you were wrong.
I will not play the pawn...
I'm enslaved in a game where
queens rule, and one match can go on
for weeks too.
Every warning from my friends seemed to be true...
But with each move you kept me in check,
kept my mind perplexed with sheer
disrespect.
I let my mind reflect on the last moon I saw
from above, since you stole the Knight from me and
took the 'L' out of Love.
I've simply had enough, infact i'm happy you're gone.
I will not play the pawn...
i've been unfairly had, but i'm fairly glad. The day
you saw me with another made you barely
sad.
So I will have the last laugh, you've made your
moves, but neglected my defense.
You thought the game was yours, but it's been
much more intense.
So forget the suspense, I'll just make the last move,
Your time to play me is severely past due...
