And as far as this bullshit about RE 6 having everything the old RE games had...Bullshit....it doesn't have puzzle solving, it doesn't have the character scrounging around and looking for clues, stumbling across journals and notes from victims and having you read the note and 9 times out of 10 there was a clue in the note and you had to know what the clue was. That is the RE that I remember, and that I thought I was gonna get when I purchased it last week. Not some fake ass "we have to keep up with Call of Duty" bullshit that is more action than survival horror.

Well, from the first RE all the way to RE 5, there was biologically altered humans, animals, and if I recall, vegetation. Silent Hill is the same, except SH is on some unrealistic shit, such as walking in a room and the room is filled with blood and gore, then the blood and gore suddenly disappears supernaturally and all of that crazy shit. Silent Hill has nothing on Resident Evil.

re6 doesn't have puzzles? lol. tell me you instantly knew what to do with with the bells in leon and helena in the cathedral, lying ass faggot

the complaint about readable clues could be valid, but there's still things like that in the form of 'interact with object' to tell the story. it's just done in a different way. it's the same concept, really. you don't have to watch the ada wong tape in the bio lab, and you would probably miss it if you werent going into every corner of the map and spamming the action button.

the games just tell stories differently at this point. you're supposed to enjoy the decent quality voice acting and connections to different characters (on that note, is every single thing in the resident evil universe a reference to another thing in it? jesus) instead of thinking about how backwards the story telling is because you don't have to read long notes anymore to flesh out the lore for yourself like you had to 8 years ago.

the thing is, that's all it ever was. i've been down with resident evil but trying to say RE shits on SH in terms of fear is just pure delusion. ESPECIALLY if youre comparing re1 with silent hill 1.

I agree the new RE is better than the old school ones... but I enjoy them all.

The puzzles were corny tbh and the presentation has come SO far...
It's way more realistic.
The voice acting went from Barry saying, 'You almost became a Jill Sandwitch.'... in RE 1.
To crazy ass scenes like when they take Helena's sister in RE 6.

Also... it doesn't remind me of Modern Warfare.
With the way the game moves it would be horrible if it was the old 'multiple camera/security cam' layout.
The hand to hand combat in RE 6 is fucking insane.

I couldn't be more pleased with this game.

i think your talking about the part im actually stuck on. been tryin to get past that part last 2 nights drunk and fuck and ive been chalking it up to my aim not being good enuff to headshot guys enough. the part where you try to get into the church and the guy doesnt let you in and then mad hordes of zombies come and more come when the bells sound right?

as for topic ive been having a blast with this game. much smoother gameplay then re5, the graphics of zombies getting killed both by headshots and armed combat has been significantly improved. the game itself has a much creepier atmosphere then 5. people saying its like cod now cuz you can run and shoot are pretty much retards. this game is amazing.

long time RE fan since the first one on the playstation.

this was one was hot garbage.
for every 1 step they tried to move forward, the controls and gameplay took 2 steps back.

the random action scene deaths (ie: chris crawling up the blown up bridge, chris running up the platform from the giant monster, and ada running down the hallway etc.) are retarded. you have to die multiple times just to find out the correct path and shit.

dozens of cheap deaths in this shit for no reason.
