Kane or G-Rap
g-rap has more staying power, obviously, but who did you like in terms of their late 80s - early 90s stuff...;
personally, i'd say Kane was in the elite three with Rakim and KRS back then, but G-Rap was almost up there.
i'd say they are both amongst the 5 greatest ever.
Rakim, KRS, Kane, then G-Rap

Kool G cuz he shaped East coast rap... and everybody bit him, like Nas, Big Pun, Fat Joe and then had to changed their styles a lil bit when they recorded songs with him
Kool G is a man
but I was feeling Kane more back then just like dude said he was in the Elite with Rakim an KRS
Rakim, Kool G, KRS, Kane... not taking nothing away from Kane though espeically since he fathered Jay Z's style
