Pete Rock
You know this man gotta be the illest producer in the buesiness. His production on tracks just gives off the old school funk jazz vibe. Not many producers can produce classic beats that by themselves you can just sit and relax to, the type of instrumentals to make u sit and think. What are the dopest instrumentals youve heard from Pete Rock?
Rock Steady 98
Slow Down Remix
T.R.O.Y.
are just a few of my favorites. I think hip hop beats should be more like this! The only new producers ive found to be doing this typa thing are affiliated with 7head! It seems like the root of hip hop is disappearing!

It's sweet when Pete Rock grabs the mic, he does it so little. But his beats are sick. Littlle side story when I introduce my self to people some times I'm like say, "Hey my name is Scribes, and I hornier than a Pete Rock production." Girls usally look at me weird for it, probably cause they don't know shit bout Pete Rock, but I get a kick outta it.
Anyway favourite Pete Rock tracks,
T.R.O.Y., I like the remix better
It's not a Game
The Creator remix is amazing
The one track with Grand Agent from a couple years back, I got it on Super Rappin' Volume 2.
What does Pete Rock have out?
I know of Mecca and the Soul Brother
The Main Ingredient
That like import EP with a bunch of remixes.
Petestramentals
What else he got?

Pete Rock is def a genius.....all his shit he's put out has been amazing.....I bet if u asked a lot of producers who inspired them , he's up there......if u ask them who's bettter many would also say him......Crossover hits or not, everything Pete puts out is nice ....
I heard he's working on some shit with Little Brother, but not real sure on that.....that would be sick.....u can tell they really inspired by pete rock

Pete Rock & CL also have out a cd called All Souled Out that's a EP. It came out before Mecca & The Soul Brother. What happened to Pete's group Ini he produced? Remember their video Fakin Jax? I wish Pete would hurry up & come out with his Soul Survivor 2 cd. What the fuck is taking so long? Him & CL also supposed to be doing a reunion cd which i doubt will never come out. I like the Mecca & The Soul Brother video from their All Souled Out EP. It's better than the Mecca & The Soul Brother remix. I like that freestyle that dude Grap Lover did on Pete & CL's Mecca & The Soul Brother cd before the song On & On comes on. That freestyle is funny. Only Pete & CL song i don't like is One In A Million on the Poetic Justice soundtrack. Their Death Becomes U song on the Menace II Society soundtrack is the shit. I think Pete should stay off the mic cause he can't rap. His verses sometimes sound alright & then other times his verses are terrible. I liked his verse on Lost Boys The Yearn song on America Is Dying Slowly compilation.
