Top 5 favorite movies?
FAVORITE, not best (there's a difference, in my mind, at least), and tell why.

1. Clockwork Orange. Everything about this movie, down to the music and how it contrasts every scene, was great. Never lost my interest.
2. Nightmare Before Christmas. Yea, I said that at the risk of being emo. I mean, the music was great, the plot was bananas, the animation was great, the scenary was so fuckin' original. Def my fav movie from Tim Burton.
3. The 13th Warrior. Antonio Bandares' best movie IMO. Idk, I know there's like 200 movies out just like it, but this movie pulled off the Viking quest plot the best of any.
4. What Dreams May Come. I can watch this movie 200 times in a row and never get bored of it. I loved how the plot developed, and I love how the portrayed heaven and hell. Plus, it had probably the most romantic scene/line in cinema history. Supporting actors did wonderful, especially Cuba. I love this movie.
5. The Chronicles of Narnia. lol, I have a crazy ass imagination, and iono, I just vibed with this movie from beginning to end...

north by northwest - the ultimate caper movie, action, romance, drama, trains, planes, mt rushmore...it has it all

2001: a space odyssey - one of the quintessential proofs that film can be art

annie hall - woody allen defied all convention with this one, breaking the 4th wall, using animation, the subtitle scene, marshall mcluhan, etc and none of it feels forced or out of place

citizen kane - technically excellent and a great character study. the universality of the story while being at the same time so pointedly attacking hearst is one of the great feats ever. i didn't like it the first time i saw it, but i like it more each time i see it.

say anything - the best of the 80's teen movies. john cusack's lloyd dobbler is one of the great screen characters ever in my opinion. arguably cameron crowe's best film.

others that will occasionally be in my top 5 : the lion king, singin in the rain, his girl friday, LA confidential, chinatown, tokyo story, and the miracle of morgan's creek
