How many of you have seen it?
I bet alot of kids on RM are exactly like those white kids in the beginning.
Cracked me the fuck up.

It's basically about this really rich white chick (Anne Hathaway) who "pretends" to be ghetto because her life in the Palisades is boring. One night her "wigger" boyfriend and some other friends decide to visit East Los Angeles because they wanna act "tough" or whatever, I don't know. Anyway, she and her friend end up going back and they get to find out just how "real" shit is.

Good ending too.
Alot of kids on RM need to watch this fuckin movie.
Would do them some good.

other then that the movie was nothing special outside of Hathaway going from doing disney movies to showing her titays

Nah, there really are kids out there in the world like those white kids.
They're fuckin everywhere. It's sad actually.

As far as the movie goes...
It was a great "concept" but they didn't follow through.
The ending was lacking and nothing really comes out of all of it.

You don't know who gets shot, you don't know what happens with that blonde braud, and the message isn't really that clear. But throughout the movie there are some GREAT lines in various parts.

The part where kid pisses his pants and the Mexicans like, "You fuck this fucking guy? Does he piss in his pants? Does he shit himself and ask you to wipe him up, too?"

Then there's the scene where Hathaway is playing different personalities while that kid is filming her. That's like a fuckin Agent Audition. I had to do that shit...(Not grabbin my chest and shit...haha) when I auditioned for my agent a few years ago.

The movie is basically trying to show that these kids are lost. They're confused and can't really figure out who they are and what they want to be because their parents are still trying to figure themselves out while owning these big ass homes and running offices.

I've seen both sides of the scale...It's fucked up either way.
You can grow up poor, deal with all kinds of horse-shit and stress about how you're going to raise your family and what not.
Or you can grow up filthy rich and have everything handed to you and not know how to be "yourself" because you never experienced anything "real".

It's better to grow up poor.
It builds character.
It builds strength.

Those who grow up poor can face a disaster head on and will walk away bruised up with a few cuts and scrapes. Somebody who grew up rich can go through the same exact disaster side by side with that poor person and they will need counceling for a very long time, "IF" they even get over it at all.
