Sean Penn
Is there a major actor out there more versatile and daring than him?
I'd probably say Brad Pitt and Don Cheadle, but Penn is still more daring than them.
Everybody else seems to always take the same kind of roles... like Denzel... I been off his hype for years now.

I need to check his filmography again... I seem to recall him taking epic, hero type roles mostly... Penn has played a gay man and a retarded man... he's also played a cop, a druggie, a bum, a gangster... all types of different roles.

Cameron Diaz...said when they were shooting the movie "Gangs of NY"...she didnt meet Daniel Day Lewis till after the film ended shiotting.
They said on another movie set he got sick with the flu and didnt go to the hospital because the type of movie they were shooting was in a time period were he would not have been given up-to-date medical attention

Yeah, Depp is another one... plus, I like his anti-Hollywood stance. It's why he hasn't won an Oscar yet, I bet, too... he doesn't kiss enough ass.

He is a true method actor... I'm not sure how versatile he is, though.
Deniro is a method actor, too, but he didn't really become very versatile until his later years.

Word I always dug people that are part of a scene yet rebuke it for its nonsense at the same time.
Daniel Day Lewis is, coincidentally, is another good example of this...
