I finally watched the Star Wars films.
All of them. I'd never sat through one all the way through until now.

I must say that the 'Im your father' bit was bollocks. I was expecting to be crying on some 'My Dog Skip' shit, but it wasn't even an attempt at drama.

Deffinately dope though. I think Revenge of the Sith and The Empire Strikes back were the better of the bunch.

The special effects are still dope today.

Good analysis. I too would say Empire Strikes Back and Revenge Of The Sith are the best two. I like them all however. Most of them do have some shit I cant stand.

Phantom Menace = Pod Racing. Way too much time devoted to proving Anakin will be a great pilot, and thus Luke will. Also the inclusion of Jar Jar Binx.

Return Of The Jedi = The Ewoks. I hate them fucking things.

All in all its prolly the greatest franchise ever. The movies alone grossed well over 2 million in box office...and billions more in merchandising.

As for the "Im your father" line. Ehhh. Try and imagine what it would have been like back then in the thearter. I think even most people who arent big fans of Star Wars know Vader is Lukes father...so its expected, but back then...to them people it was unbelievable.

a shit ending is what happened at the end of revenge of the sith.

despite the advances in technology, they still couldn't film it any better than they had 25 years ago. the last three never had that Star Wars feel to them....just mediocre acting and storytelling thrown in with the CGI orgy fest.

episode I was boring as shit...i almost fell asleep. episode II was somehow worse despite all the action(as stunning as it was). ep.III was much better than the previous two...the dialogue wasn't complete shit, and the plot wasn't just insignificant filler...it was actually pretty good, until the end. the thing that really kept these 3 from being in the same league as the first 3 was the lack of unbridled imagination...everything seemed limited, where as before, the universe seemed full of wonder and endless possibilites.....and there wasn't anything wrong with the ewoks.
