dont know if this works everywhere, but bestbuy is currently selling a bunch of movies for 9.99(unforgiven 2disc, magnolia, seven, amadeus, v for vendetta) all are 2 discs and they currently have a "buy one get one free" deal going. so thats.... 2 movies for 9.99.

plus, with the purchase of any dvd you get a free dvd preview of 300....and inside that preview is a free ticket for the movie.

So yup, I'm completely psyched for this movie! Though, i didn't even know there was a graphic novel based on the battle of thermopylae, so i'm gonna check that out too.
For everyone arguing about how the movie is going to suck...I can't think of anyway they could possibly mess this movie up (at least i'm hoping). We already know that it it will be fantastical and the cinematography will be amped up, so it should not be too stuffy or slow.

My reasons for seeing it and loving it: Love the spartans (completely kicked ass); Battle of thermopylae completely one of the most kickin ass battles in Antiquity (if the Spartans hadn't delayed the persians, alot of history would have changed); did I mention how kick ass the spartans were (they totally don't get the attention they deserve); plus its the only time when people realize my Classics Major in college does exist
