The syndicated TV show “Inside Edition” sought the opinion of director Spike Lee on the Laugh Factory’s N-word ban. The director told the syndicated television program: "I think as a people we have to try to eradicate that word."

But rapper Jay-Z, who uses the word in his lyrics, disagrees with a formal ban, telling the show last week: "I'm against that, I'm all for freedom of speech." He added, "You have to fix the people that have hatred inside their soul."

You can't fix the people who have hatred in their soul. Banning words won't eradicate racism or feelings of inferiority. But if the Laugh Factory wants to make that their policy, then they have that right. Freedom of speech only applies to the government, not private sectors.

I just don't see how it would work logistically... and how would you define "black," especially since multi-culturalism is in now... then there is the whole fact of no former slaves being alive today... that is if you don't count up until 1964, when the Civil Rights Act was signed.

I can discount the repercussions of slavery for 2 reasons:

1. Those that were enslaved are now dead. Unless you can dig them up and satisfy them.... I'm sorry.

2. The slave owners are also dead. So... Digging them up and torching their corpses is pointless as well....

Therefore...what's done is done. There's no justice. It's come and gone. It's unfortunate but giving a generation some pitty party for absolutely nothing they experienced is not fair to anyone.

As for your question -
Because they have no role models. The only highlighted role models minorities have are morons like 50 cent and cam'ron. Or athletes... You'll never see BET showing intelligent rappers...because it's ran by white folks that want them to blow their money on drugs, basketball and rap

I don't mean there's a black racist for every white racist. I mean a ratio would turn out level if a study could be done.
Blacks are actually the more open racists. Showing it in public far more often simply because they're taught that it's ok for them to be racist, but not for anyone else.

The system is in the roots. White powers told their grandparents that they'd never be anything due to prejudice > the grandparents tell their kids > those kids tell their kids....and so on and so on.

A black man today has every bit the same opportunity as a white male. And actually an easier shot at scholarships and secondary schooling. Thing is... they're still in the hole because too many of their people have bought the bullshit. So they're surrounded with more obstacles.... the hood, drugs, failures, etc...

It's not the success they have to work harder for, it's getting away from the distractions. And in many cases the white suburban kids have just as many.

It'll happen eventually. As time goes black folks are starting to drop the "hey you owe me" nonsense, and white people are becoming more open minded to race as well. Thus now you have so much inter-racial dating today. Which is a great thing. One day there will be no black, white, etc. As time goes it's become perfectly normal for kids to think dating outside their race is ok.
