Demi's UFC 145: JONES VS EVANS Review

 Biggest Winner: Jon Jones.
Biggest Loser: Mark Hominick.
Best Submission: Travis Browne :O (Submitted Chad Griggs)
Best (Technical)Knockout: Michael Mcdonald (KO's Miguel Torres)
Most Shocking: Mark Hominick losing/being dropped twice.
(Torres gets KNOCKED out in RND 1 in a well called bout by J. Keeper)
(Schuab also goes down just over a MINUTE into the round.)
Looking back on the event, I have to say it was nothing less then successful.
There were 6 fights on the PPV- card, and things went smoothly enough to show a 7th
( even with the Championship fight going the full 5 rounds). 3/7 fights went the distance in
what was a night of surprises; to keep it short, the UFC is back. ( Shouts out to Rashad for NOT being finished!)

Submission of the Night
Really didn't expect this from Travis. I expected the win,
but also a MUCH better overall performance from Griggs.
Both showed why they do( Travis) and do not( Chad) deserve to be in the UFC.

i knew travis had it soon as he started moving to the other side for a better position
im sorry i just can't buy into the hendo hype. i think he has a less of a chance then rashad, lyoto, quinton, or shogun. he is great at knocking people out but he is not technical enough to fuck with jones.
rory is going straight to the title. that stoppage against condit was just like taylor vs. chavez. the guy obviously won the fight but it was stopped seconds before on an opponent who was rocked but would make it a few more seconds easily.
i said it numerous times but damn i still can't believe the torres or hominick fight. are they done???

I'm with you here. I am with the hype in the sense that I REALLY want to see this fight, VERY interesting thing I NEVER though I would be witnessing. STILL, other then a PUNCHERS chance Hendo doesn't have much. I don't see a tiring greco-roman wrestling style working against Jon.

Kid was impressive man. His punches from the top LITERALLY reminded me of GSP in his early days...I will try to find a video of Rory's fight next.

i still do what to see the fight myself. im also waiting for jones to move up in weight, which he said may happen 2 years from now.
rory is the future imo

Dana said today he doesn't want Jones @ HW yet. I don't know how long he will have solid competitors at LHW, but there is still another fight I could see for Jon after Hendo.
