Ricky Hatton crossing over to MMA?

I'm not sure what the WEC is paying, but I'm sure Dana could make an offer if Ricky proves to be competitive to entice Hatton to bulk up a bit.... especially with the paychecks he's used to receiving for a fight purse.

Other problem is that Hatton is around 31....couple years of training w/ a strong camp and he's a 33 year old fighter that has to revamp his striking game to deal w/ takedowns and a young purple belt submission defense...

I dunno....I'd like to see him take a stab at it....

more than wanting to see Hatton, I'd like to see high level pro boxing in MMA to encourage the rest of the sport to level up because 95 percent of the guys can't strike for a damn. There are a few boxers with wrestlitng backgrounds that I'd like to see come over to MMA- I enjoy both sports and I think both would be enhanced to share fighters.

Those old school guys like Jack Dempsey used to grapple as a means for training and conditioning- not sure when boxers lost that...
