Scents vary on the people that wear them something that's nice on one person doesn't smell quite the same on someone else due to the oils and stuff we secrete or just proper hygene. People should find a couple of things that smell good for them and not because it smells good on someone else.

Sometimes you can associate a particular smell to one person. Like everytime I smell cucumber melon it reminds me of this one girl I went to school with. Shit gives me butterflies in the stomach thinking about her wearing it. Jill Scott hinted at that too on the intro to Cross My Mind on Beautifully Human talking about how cologne smelled good on one guy and it stunk on another.
