RWE Training Camp #3: Pacing

With so many layers to the league, there are many options you can take the stories. There are many avenues that you can drive this thing. You have to remember, the hype will get everyone interested in the league and they will join ONLY if you deliver on the promises.

You have to pace yourselves. Remember, you need enough material for 9 months. How does one PPV end a rivalry? How can you build the heat for a Champion? How do you groom an up and coming wrestler?

These things will keep those involved in the game. Don't be quick to show your ace card. Make sure the progression is steady. If no one has been through a HELL IN THE CELL..don't make it the match of choice for every PPV. Tease them.

One thing that will kill the league is repetition. You must keep things new and fresh every week. No one wants the same thing. Consistancy is different. They want the quality to remain the same, but trust me, these people know when you just through something together and when it took awhile to make a story.

Take advantage that there aren't a lot of people on your show. Not everyone needs a story. Dark Matches (just battles) can happen just to build up points. When you do a story, make sure it has a beginning. Think about it carefully. Why is one person beefing with another...what is the outcome. Don't start these stories unless you know HOW IT'S GOING TO END.

Don't compete with the other leagues. Leave them alone. If you do your job, the people around will give praise. And FROM NOW ON...we don't ever...i DON'T CARE WHAT THEY SAY TO US...we NEVER BAD MOUTH a person who has an opinion. The RWE is an evolution. We give respect to gain respect. We coach and develop those in our league so we have nothing but strong members. And we wish those that will say our league sucks and what not..well.

Think about this as you get ready for September's Invitational.

Assignment: Reply and let me know what you plan to do during our 3 month trial that will change the face of how our leagues are ran?

monday night revenge will be THE brand to be on..... i bring colors and original dialogue and strong characters to the league.......... strong characters that resemble people's hook ups personalities, so when someone does something in the ring, its something youd expect of them, not far fetched......

every1 will have a character, with its own distinct attitude... there will be comedic underdogs, abbrasive heels, stone cold personalities, and mid card to main eventers, who will all be established individually....

thru this trial period, ill be giving people thier motives, and toying with the grudge system ill be using.....plus setting up basic feuds and executing them, from a simple beef, to an all out war.........

when it comes to my angles and segments, im gona take the two characters, and whichever one of them has more points than the other, will obviously be on the winning end of a segment.... like the face with 80 points will rebound from the suprise attack of the 60 point heel....... or the 80 point heel will devastate the 60 point face in a horrific manner......

when i have all the characters established itll become more fun for not only the participants but for me to write because i will literally be booking a wrestling show, which is pretty much my dream

oh and i feel i left this part out

im not sure how were gona work the promo stuff, but i believe letting people cut thier own is a pretty bad approach.... nothing ruins a good wrestling show like a bad promo.... bischoff and hogan cut one every week on nitro and its 90 percent of the reason i stopped watching WCW after awhile.........

i believe we need to have a restraint on who can and cant write thier own promo..... like, if you acquire 100 points or more, or if you have one of the title belts, then your allowed to write ur own promo, otherwise, if your some newb, or some1 low on the card, and not a key focus of that weeks show, i should be the one composing ur promo, keeping u at pace with the storyline ive got you in......

do you agree with that? or no?

and ragu suggested a mag? i guess a magazine is a good idea? but one for each show? thats kind of overdoing it dont you think? the shows are gona be LONG......LONG LONG LONG...........

the way ive got my template set up, is ill have promo, segment, promo, MATCH, and where the match would be, im just putting a link to the battle, whether or not both have showed yet, so when people reach that part of the show they can click the link and read the match that occured, or if they r feeling lazy, they can just overlook the link and read on.....

so itll take anyone anywhere from 5 minutes to half an hour just to get thru my entire show, depending on if they read all the matches or not.... throwing a mag of another 10 minutes of reading in there might not be the best thing..... top feuds, interviews, and the newly suggested "Rumor Mill" (like vince russo's old column as vic venom) could comprise the contents of our magazine....... anything else would be redundant really... like a recap magazine? not necessary, as we will be bringing up the history of competitors CONSTANTLY in pre match notes, etc...

once again, do you agree with this? or no?

I don't think a Mag is Nessessary... the RWE technically IS a interactive Mag!!!!

That Concept alone is Mind Blowing

Anyhow.. I'll begin Sign ups for people who'd like to become refs asap.. Now that I have Ab's Endorsement I can motivate these guys to Be Great refs with the prospect that if they do a good enough job they could possibly be considered for other textside activities via modship..

So Basically After I've Picked them i'll Send them throught training on the Battle board to test thier ability to Vote & give great Breakdowns of the matches. I'll insure that they're ALL highly honest & unbias...

Perhaps I'll even set up a few user Accounts under Ref's# 1,2,3,4,5,6 & Change up the name assignments every show so as to keep the contenders unaware of Who is Voting on thier match thus avoiding Peer pressure & maximizing The refs Abilities to call the match right down the middle..
