Whats up man i have a few ?'s i would like advice on. I've been rapping for 5 years, writin,flowin,reading, just living and breathing this. But now its time to get on the grind. I'll be heading to my local studio for the first time here soon and i want to know what to expect. What exactly is the overall mood, do i write to beats, or come off the top. Do i take control of everything via oh i like that we'll keep that verse over them? Any advice on how to prepare?

I would say go to the studio with some material that is already written up. Most studios charge by the hour, so you should have some songs already thought up that you might wanna put on a demo etc. Have an idea of the type of beats you like, and would like to spit to. Myself I love a nice piano riff in there.. thats my softspot for beats, but yeah .. have some ideas of what you want, where your going with your tracks, so your not paying a studio to do your thinking for you.. then the rest is gravy.

i ben wrighting about as long as the cat above me. Its I so far I'v sucked at two major things >1. flowing stayin on beat 2. strait battle rapping weather i just freas up in a live competition or cypha battle or if voters in the league are critisiesing my structure,spelling and creativity on my textseeing.

how the hell do I get passed this shit whyle keeping from not wanting to show my face around even other wack rappers like me lol lmfao "no im not" im hurting right now!

maybe u might want to mentor me...
thats the only thing i havent tryed that seams available an internet texceeing mentor lol
but not just that i know u know more then that. its every body is so fucking critical of spelling around these forums like they go to bead with websters dictionary every night and years ago maried him. lol

well first off try dropping a little something in here that I could read. so far I have no idea of what your skill level is, therefore I dont know what to tell you to work on. Being an emcee, is having a love for hip hop and putting yout heart into what you write, with practice, patience and determination, while seeking the right advice will get you a long way.. as long as you take critiques well. So try spitting in the open mic and getting feedback, try checkin out other rappers which you know are ill. This will give you a visual on how its done. You can actually see how they write, what it would look like on paper, and this can give you a good idea also on what styles, schemes they use and you can see it in use.

its not bad, I think you should work on making it more complex.. there are alot of one word rhymes in there.. try increasing your syllables in the rhyming words and working with your flow a little bit more..

ok, It seems like when I write raps, it seems like a lot of my rhymes are recycled if ya get me. This is just wierd to me though, I gots a huge vocabulary, but it a lot of my lyrics seem to be recycled, and that ain't eva good. I wonder if I maybe speed through my bars. get "stop leak" its a compressed rubber silicon that you just release into your tire and it immediately works its way to the leak.. only good for approximately 50 miles though..

read alot .. that helps..

I find reading gives me ideas.. I usually find good multies by seeing new words together.. but people are different, and learn differently too.. but try that though

might help you out.

also keep a notebook and try just thinkin up new rhyming words and writing only them down.. do that for a few months.. you'll have pages upon pages of only words that rhyme.
