Advice on Writing Hooks Plz!!

aight, I'm sittin down to write lyrics and i my verses are on point and flow and have meaning, and I'm thinkin yea I'm feelin this....but then I come to the hook and I fall off.

A hook is supposed to "hook" the person into the song. If I don't have a good hook then they will lose interest. I can't sing very well, so I try and write hooks that are just plain rap. Any suggestions on how to make my hooks tighter??

Well if you cant sing then dont try

Do your rap method but try to make it catchy like others wanna join in an rap with u

you could also get a friend to do it that sings well or rap it if they prefer..some times a different voice for the chorus makes it good

Just think of a song thats got a catchy hook...and try to mimik it...like..that song " just ot get bye" its got a catchy hook....I'd say try writing a parady ot a song you like...( if you dont know what a parady is hit me up) And try to make your hook similar..practice it for a while ....

I like the idea of getting some one else to do it, some advice that I might give if your going to rao your hook is to not make it real complex, because people that don;t know the words to the verses but like the song are going to be singing the hook....

all day in class people sign hooks to their fav songs, so don't use any harsh multi schemes....

this a simple hook to memorize, but good enough too keep people listening....

good point, only catch is..thinkin of somthing catchy enough to stick with people, while not abandoning meaning and falling of into the Lil Jon type "throw it up ²²²²² I dont give a fuck" type hooks, he can pull it off great, but the imitations just aint working...lol

but i'll keep dat in mind...keep it simple
