A lot of questions on writing.....

hmm, I have a lot of things that I need to ask. I know there are a lot of things out there that I don't know that I really need to know to move any further, If any one could answer these and then add some common knowledge that I may not already know I would be grateful.....

1) Tony Rome said when you spit to a beat, it's to the drums. What if the drums in a beat is like just bass that goes every 5 seconds or so? do you try and fit a bar in between each beat of the bass???

2) can a bar be too short or too long?? I don't mean syllable wise but in actual text. Maybe some one could show me a example of were a good length is....

3)Over to syllables were is a good range of beats?? I know your going to say it's up to my style or flow, but there must be some kind of guide line isn't there..like 20 is too many and 5 isn't enough......

4) is there a certain number of bars that make a verse?? I don't think there are it would be up to how fast the person speaks and how long the measurers are in the beat wouldn't it??

5) Another thing is makeing a rythem with your words that you write, I don't know how to do this. The only way for me to do okay is to write while I'm listening to a beat. Is there any tips to write your lyrics with rythem??

6) Some thing else was rhymescheme, Ive been wanting to ask about that. I know what it is and how to form in but I never see people fallowing a steady rhyme scheme. Woldn't you run out of words to rhyme with???

like this...

a....c..b
a....d..b
a....e..b
Wouldn't you run out of rhymes tht represented each letter..

7) I guess this runs into structure, can some one explane that for me???

6)I know there are many more things that I need to know but I can't think of them right now. Is there any extra stuff you can just throw in?

--peace.

1) What kind of fucking beat would that be? If you try spitting off a beat like that then try timing with the melody or something or every 5 seconds that the bass hits but I never heard of a beat with no snare or a clap.

2) It just has to be in flow with all the other bars. When you spit the text out loud you should be able to tell if the line falls short or if it's stretched too long because it won't sound right.
3) It's about 9 to about 16 syllables a line.

4) It's basically when the chorus part of the beat drops in is where your verse ends. It also depends on how many verses you are going to do in the whole song. Most songs have 3 verses at about 8 bars a verse. Other songs will have 2 verses at about 12 or 13 bars a verse.

5) Writing lyrics while listening to the beat is the best thing to do for just about everyone. I don't thing there are really much you can do for writing lyrics with rythmn. Either you got rythmn or you don't. Just try to get the flow in your head by reading the first couple of lines you write to keep a constant rhythm.

6) When you start running out of words to rhyme with, you can just use some kind of transition to switch what words you are using to rhyme with. You can still use the same rhyme scheme, just use different rhymes.

ohhh okay I get that now, I thought that the letter in your rhyme scheme had to be somthing that rhymed with every other rhyme of that letter, I don't know if you got that but...I understand what I'm talking about...lol

This is a rhyme scheme where 3 words in each line rhyme with each other.

a....a....a
a....a....a

Tha nine will leave ya spine broke as ya die//
As tha shine will have ya eyes temporarily blind//

Wack as fuck, but it's just an example.

This is a rhyme scheme where each letter represents a seperate rhyme word.

a....b....c...d
a....b....c...d

Don't fuck with me or I'll leave ya dead on tha stage//
Stick ya up and leave and put ya fucking head in ya brain//

Just another example....
