Real MMA fans make sure you order PRIDE Real Deal saturday!
show your support they are having there very first show in usa they have the greatest fighters...something you never seen in ufc the excitement and production is off the hook and hopefully they dont attract drunk rednecks....and non of that lame teen rock music dirty bike shit in the back.

Watching this you will see the difference UFC hypes up there fighters to make americans believe there country bred fighters are the best....watching pride is like watching the oscars and watching ufc is like watching the public access cable awards.

I think you're a little harsh on UFC. Pride is the better organisation yes but largely because of the difference in the light heavyweight/heavyweight divisions (Pride being far superior) and the rulings.

UFC still has watchability in my opinon if you're talking about fighters like Sean Sherk, Matt Hughes and Genki Sudo...excellent examples of the best in MMA.

As far as a saturday goes I'm most interested in how Fedor will dispatch of Coleman....because he surely will. I'm also very interested in watching Rua send a message to the Hammer House camp - I predict Randleman will go down.

I was/am still looking forward to Mark Hunt making an example of Butterbean...A real battle of the iron jaws but I heard that fight wasn't going to happen which is a bit of a dissapointment.

Its like Pride is coming from Japan, where it is held with high regard. UFC is all about "Lets see someone kick some guys ass!!" which is basically the thoughts of our entire country. Pride will eventually get those fans in the US, and will be basically UFC in a ring.

probally but they will have to adjust...when i was in irivine the majority of people in the audience at the press con were minorities not rednecks...most rednecks dont know about PRIDE...most of the followers at the fsn bar and grill were latinos, and asians....

thats why they should of put pride in CALIFORNIA! lots of brazilians, japanese, koreans, mexicans, filipinos, armenians, russians etc their...

Well there were some dissapointments but the high points were worth watching. Hell a chance to see Fedor dominate the way he does is always a spectacle even when you expect it to happen.

ya they had some minor technical problems and the long intermission with replaying fights kinda ticked me off...iw ish they would just show fighter backgrounds like showing footage of fighters lifes for thsoe 20 minutes so fans can get to know them better...they did that before the coleman vs fedor fight which was cool it shows them as real people.

I was shocked with baroni using a kimura lol.

The biggest annoyance for me were the limitations imposed by the Nevada State Athletics Commission. I obviously wasn't alone in that judging by the boos they recieved!

As for showing the pornstars in the audience....yeah it's irrelevant to mma but I guess they were trying to appeal to the american audience. It was a Pride event with a Las Vegas slant to it and that's one of the four g's that make up Las Vegas; glamour, girls, gambling and gangsterism.

As for Baroni, I always found him very unlikeable in and outside the ring and after the Butterbean/Hunt fight was cancelled Baroni v Nishijima was the other all out slugfest I was really looking forward to. Nishijima really deserving a win on his record. Instead Baroni suprised everyone with a take down and submission - which credit to him and his corner was probably very smart - but still it was a real anticlimax for me.

Randleman really needs to fight smarter, that was a vicious looking kneebar, Barnett nearly got completely out done, the Nakamura fight was class and Fedor.....he's just an enigma.

randleman is pure muscle you could see that big ass vascular vein on his thigh im thinking his body fat is like 5 percent.

ya that was painful you could see his hamstrings being pulled dude is tough as shit though hammerhouse gotta be the toughest sob's even though they lack skill.

in my opinion nishjima is just a can he is tough as nails if you trade with him but he will never learn the ground game enough, he was on the bottom and didnt even try to explode out when baroni had that lazy kimura on .

nishjima is a boxer who well pretty much is like the others who enter mma competition they suck at grappling...

the funniest fight was watching butterbean come into the ring and knock that hill billy out.

ya i like mamas boy nakamura and fedor well he always amazes.

i wa fairly impressed with the judoka pavel...if he didnt give his foot up he was clearly beating on josh barnett.

Caught everything off a tracker site..


Decent show..


The fedor armbar was expected...Coleman clinging to Fedor's legs for his life got old...but the hip movement of Fedor on that armbar was steller..

The rest of the show was alright also...The GP overly satisfied me...so seeing this show held me over, but i'm waiting for that next blockbuster card...
