Why must we make heroes out of people who overcome addiction?
Fuckheaded.

People who overcome drug addictions are usually worshipped as heroes cause not only does it take a LOT of mind and willpower to come off something like crack or heroin, but also because a lot of them pull 180's and turn their whole life around from trash to good life... or at least a half decent normal life anyways

Agree w/ Dex.
I was an addict. Addicted people always cry about some certain bad shit happened that drove them to use drugs. Fuck that. Plenty of people go through horrible shit and don't get addicted.
It's pure irresponsibility.

i used to agree with the point indicated 100%, but honestly it's more honorable to crawl through shit and come out smelling like a rose than it is to live life steering clear of obstacles.
though it's been put far more elegantly.

Everybody is an addict of something.
A fat person can't say shit about addicts... I mean, there are sugar addicts, chocolate addicts, caffeine addicts, etc... street drugs are demonized because they're illegal, but Oxycontin is more addictive than heroin... caffeine is more destructive than THC.

nah.
Just when it was new, it took people by surprise. Doctors were handing it out like candy.
so you had people who'd never think twice about trying heroin suddenly addicted to hillbilly heroin.

Sometimes I like to detox myself out for a little bit.
I do this on purpose, but the worse detox was the coke/oc binge I went on half a year ago. That was fun detoxing from that.
It's more annoying than anything.

If I'm still alive when I'm 50 I'll probably just go ahead and start up a meth addiction.

You're just mad because I sonned you in that "drugs during labor" debate.
You're for keepin' people drugged up with legal drugs, but you talk ignorantly against marijuana... like a true hypocritical conservative.
And caffeine is known to strip calcium from your bones and increase your heart rate.

But yo, have you ever seen an oxycontin addict? They have that same zombie look in their eyes... I know a girl who used to sell that shit illegaly... and she had her home invaded and robbed at gunpoint, just so they could get her stash.
Weedheads don't do that.
