People have been killing and robbing for heroin for years though.

I've known a lot of oxy addicts that actually snubbed their nose at heroin simply because they feel that it's better to be addicted to what's legal I guess. I've always found that type of high horse shit amusing.

...because addiction is never overcome. To "overcome" addiction is to enter a perpetual state of denial and essentially lie to yourself about not wanting something when you really do.
