i think this applies to teenagers who date more than adults.

i think as far as the parents approving your boyfriend or girlfriend, the guys have it harder. for one, the fathers know that most of the time the boyfriend either has banged or is planning to bang his beautiful, straight a's in school, virgin daughter, so he is already mad at the boy for going out with his precious daughter. also, sometimes, things such as race and economic status come into place.

my ex's stepdad was racist, so i never got to meet her parents. that made the relationship end quickly.

I remember a dude in my college asked if he should stop seeing his gf because his family didn't approve ..i said No, of course you should keep seeing her, it's YOUR life, not theirs ..HOW SELFISH OF THEM! ..honestly, that's stupid as hell if you stop being with someone you like because the fam doesn't feel the same way.
