Wait a minute... so men are the only ones capable of physical abuse?
Are you one of those women who feel it's okay to strike a man, but if he lays his hands on you, then he's a demon who needs to be arrested and shot??

I want to know how many women still feel like physical abuse is solely the behavior of men.

I was watching an episode of "Cheaters" once... and this woman busted her man with another woman... the first thing she did was run him down and slapped him a few times... now when dude tried to grab her arms to stop her from hitting him, she hypocritically yells out, "don't you manhandle me!!... you want to go to jail for domestic violence, too?" I'm screaming at the tv like, "bitch, what the fuck you think you just did to him?!!?"

I'm sorry... I don't believe in hittin' women for no reason at all... and any man who does that is a coward fucker who deserves to get his ass kicked... but if a woman is hitting me or is trying to cause me serious physical harm, I'm going to defend myself... if it means restraining her, then I will do that... if it means knocking her the fuck out, I will do that as well. I can take maybe one hit... but if she's swinging wildy and uncontrollably, then she needs to be stopped... and being that it was taped, that girl on Cheaters would've had no case, because she struck first. Yes, they are locking women up for domestic violence these days... the tide is slowly changing.

^^ is it so hard to understand?? he was pointing out that men and women are hardly ever going to be treated equally in every life situation..because thats just the way it is..most women will always be in the position to hit a guy without expecting anything back..as guys will always be better paid for the same job...but of course you cant generalise all that.

while she decked him clean in the eye and continued to pound on his back
if he wanted to hit her back he woulda right after she socked him

But yo, this woman was almost twice his size... actually, they were both big, but she seemed a little heavier than him... She was being a hypocrite, too.

Everybody has a right to defend themselves.

Some cops are still sexist in that they will believe the woman's word over the man's... but if both parties are honest about what happened, then the cop would take them both to jail or take just the woman to jail if she confessed to hitting him and he didn't strike back... but most men aren't going to call the cops when their wife or girlfriend hits them.

Why are men expected to exhibit self control and women aren't?

I first wanna know wtf you doin watchin cheaters? lmao That show is the corniest fucking show ever. Only time I EVER see any of it, is if it's left on that channel or I'm flickin through the channels. It's just so corny. Secondly, I do believe if a women hits a man more then once and continues to do it. Then yeah, he has the right to defend himself. But if she just freaks out and hits you once. Don't touch her. That's just wrong. You know damn well if you hit her once you are gonna fuck her up more then she'd ever do with one hit (unless she's some big butch or something lol). But totally protect yourself if you are being attacked. I believe in that 100%.

I can respect that... which is why I said, I can take one hit and then warn her not to hit me again... but if she keeps swinging, I'm backing away... if I can't back away, I'm physically restraining her until she calms down... if she approaches me with a weapon, anything goes.

^True... there is never an excuse for any kind of abuse, whether it's physical, verbal or emotional... but I posed this question because I see too many women who feel justified in hitting their mates, but feel it's wrong if they get struck back. That's just a twisted mentality to me.
