Funny/Strange things..
your children do.. (or nieces, nephews, friends kids, ect..)

My daughter (she'll be 2 on the 20th) puts herself for a nap daily.. I have heard of other kids doing it once or twice but she does it everyday.. Makes life easier for me so it's all good.

I think that some kids that get put down for a nap around the same time every day just start getting sleepy around that time every day after getting adjusted to the schedule... the circadian rhythms or something like that. I think it's great, but I agree that its certainly not normal or what the average kids does... so good for you, Short... I bet you welcome the help.

As for me, I think it's really funny to watch my younger son follow around and bug the hell out of my older one... and how the older one gets so butt hurt when his little brother "copies" him... lol. I remember doing that to my big sister... and my younger brother doing it to me... and so on and so on. It's hilarious.

And it's not funny or strange but I love how the oldest always looks out for his little brother, too - as much as he gets on his last nerve he would still give him the shirt off of his back. I love it that they'll always have one another like that... I think I want 1 - 3 more... oh shit, let me get out of here before I get pregnant just typing this shit!

I was over at my friend's house the other week and she has a little girl that's almost 2..love her to death

I was sitting there on the couch and she had these little plastic balls that came with a toy she had, she brought about 6 over to me and placed them in my hands one by one. I was like "ooo thank you" and put them back on the floor, she picked them back up and and repeated the putting them into my hands thing. This went on for about 15-20 minutes lol

Kids are strange creatures.
She also learned how to make some noise which she thinks is the funniest thing ever. She'll do it and laugh and giggle...it's cute.

I don't have kids so I find little strange stuff they do very amusing hehe

Yeah my kids have little spats through out the day but if Im mad at one, the other one is usually right there sticking up for the other... The totally look out for each other and it really is wonderful.
When I took my daughter in for her 1 year check up my son came with me, doc was checking my daughters heartbeat/lungs and she started crying and my son was so upset. He was telling the doctor "stop, you're hurting her" and he actually went over and hit the doctor.. I was really embarassed at the time and he did get in trouble for hitting but after I thought about it I was like WOW, that is pretty cool that he totally stuck up for her.

Oh yeah, and my son reads when he's on the pooper...I don't know of ANY 4-5 year old that actually does that.. The thing that makes it even stranger is that neither me or his Dad actually read while were doing that.. It may have been something he picked up off the TV but I KNOW for sure no one around here does that so he didnt pick it up from us..lol

my best friends son he's 4 years old, the strangest thing ive even seen him do was act up when i'm leaving ..they live in baltimore, i went to visit her for her second baby shower and of course there are a lot of kids there so he's tugging on shirt asking me not to leave, his friend was in his room he 's about the same age, telling me i cant leave him. so he basically gets pissed, and tells his friend to stay out of the conversation.i thought that was strange because normally when i call her he doesnt have time for me, he's busy watching his cartoons.i mean i wish i could be around him longer though closest thing i have to a nephew for now.

I dunno about strange things. They do alot of strange things. Just can't think of something at the moment.

But they do funny things. My youngest is the comedian for sure. He's sure to put a smile on your face any given minute. Too cute!

Like tight's boys. Mine are super close. They're always there for one another. Always checking to make sure the other is okay. I love it. They have such a bond that just makes me all warm inside :o) I'm just hoping it stays this way through their life LOL. I don't want two teenager's going at it when the time comes lol. They're 2.5yrs apart.

Short, my boys read when on the pooper lol. Not ALL the time. But if they'res a book or something in there already (from their father) then they'll deffinently sit there and read it while doin their deed lol. It's quite funny. I actually got a shot of my older son reading a cosmo mag on the toilet lookin at the half naked chick LOL I picture is just priceless ;o)

my 5 month old will just keep crying and whinin and i just can't seem to calm her what so ever so as i'm rockin her she'll immediately quiet down and start smilin and gigglin.that is so funny to me,i don't know why though

I overheard my son and my younger brother (same age - 10) having a conversation this morning... it went something like this:

son: MAN! I'm almost getting hair under my arms!!!
brother: oooooooh... next you'll get hair on your legs! That's the next step to becominng a MAN!!

son: then I'm gonna get hair on my "other part"

God damn...lol.. I can't even imagine, im honestly scared to death of my kids becoming pre-teens/teenagers.. My niece is starting to get boobs and that is traumatizing enough for me..

It's a trip... I'll say that much. He's already starting to like girls, too... I wasn't expecting it so soon, but it's normal/natural (which I tell him... I'm just thankful he feels comfortable enough to talk to me about it) and I think we've handled it fairly well. Don't worry Short... you'll be ahight. The only thing that scares me is what my parents tell me - "all that hell you gave us when you were young... you're gona get it ten fold when your's hit their tens!".

If that's true. Seriously. Pray for me.
